In a recent survey, it was found that men fear losing their hair, either by it thinning, receding or by going bald completely, will make them unattractive in the eyes of others. It seems that lots of men worry about what others think about their hair loss. The survey revealed that Quechee Vermont men who have bald fathers tend to keep their own hair short, so that if the hair begins to fall out it wouldn’t be such a shock to lose it all.
There are three general patterns of male pattern hair loss, and men can experience one of these patterns of hair loss or a mixture of all three:
- A receding hairline is one of the most common hair loss patterns, where the hair is lost at the temples, either side of the forehead, usually leaving a mound in the middle. This may sometimes be the only area of hair loss, but others may experience thinning at the crown as well.
- Some men will experience their hair thinning at the crown, which is at the back or top of the head. This can occur by itself or coincide with a receding hairline. Usually hair loss starts with thinning at the crown until the scalp becomes visible, and in time a bald patch may appear. This bald patch may grow wider until it meets the receding hairline, or it may stay at the top or back of the head and spread outwards in all directions to produce a circular baldness.
- General thinning spreads evenly over the top of the scalp, and men will not get a distinct receding hairline or a thinning crown. With general thinning, the onset of hair loss is less obvious and takes longer to notice.
One method of restoring hair to a follically challenged head is the FUE hair transplant technique. FUE involves taking healthy hair follicles from the scalp one by one and grafting them into the bald areas of the head. The Quechee VT surgeon transplants hair follicles into the same slot that contained previous hair, giving it a better chance of settling in permanently. This method of transplanting is very intricate and it requires special attention and care. This means the treatment is completed over a number of sessions and not performed in one long exhausting procedure. The grafts usually take in a few days and the redness caused by the treatment settles in under a week.
FUE hair transplants are very popular as:
- They deliver more natural-looking results.
- The treatment is less painful than other methods.
- Downtime is minimal.
In most cases, once you receive the aesthetics, you’ll only feel minimal discomfort during the procedure. With the FUE hair transplant technique, visible scarring on the scalp is negligible. FUE transplant procedures are less painful compared to earlier transplant treatments and they tend to produce more natural looking results.

Some Common Q & A’s
Hair Specialists Please?
I Have Curly/Wavy, Poffy, Mad Fly Aways, Messy Hair After It Dries Form A Shower.
I Want To Have Nice, Straight Hair...Any Suggestions On Straighteners Or Products?
Also I Live In New York And Its Been Pretty Humid So Many Thats Why Nothing Works......Help Me
I have the same kind of hair that you do, and if you want straight hair, you're going to have to work at it.
I take my showers at night, and I use L'Oreal nutri gloss shampoo and conditioner. It's pink and it's supposed to protect against damage. In the morning, my hair looks like a mess from sleeping on it wet, but it's still soft and it's not greasy, so that's not a major problem.
Before I straighten my hair I use Tresemme anti-frizz shine spray. Both the bottle and the liquid are clear, and it's more of a spritzer than a spray. It protects from heat damage and also makes my hair frizz-free and shiny. Then I straighten my hair in sections using a Remington 1" Wet-2-Dry straightener.
To finish the style off, I use a tiny bit of Garnier styling putty to smooth down the roots of my hair, or anywhere else that it's frizzy. The styling putty comes in a green tub.
If you take your showers in the morning and blow dry your hair, use Tresemme straightening gel after you get out of the shower. It's supposed to be heat activated, so it protects your hair from damage from the blow dryer and the straightener. Then just go back to the above steps.
NOTE: You only have to take a shower every other day, unless for a special occasion. Excessive washing and heat styling is damaging.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
Do Guys Find Ear Gauges Or Plugs Attractive On A Woman?
I Currently Have 2 Gauge Plugs In My Ears And I'M A Woman. Do Guys Guys Find These Sexy Or Gross? Just Curious. Thank You For Answering (:
there are some guys who won't mind them and probably wear them themselves, but it's not like they found the gauges or plugs super sexy. it's not like they go out and think "omg, these gauges are so sexy". they may find the woman's complete look attractive, but not the gauges specifically. they may not even notice them. but this only applies to men who wear gauges themselves, the majority of men prefers "regular" earrings.
the only ear jewelry that is said to be really sexy is chandelier earrings, because they enhance the hair and neck.

Hair Replacement Surgery Question?
Does That Surgery Where They Put Hair On Your Head (I Forget What Its Called) Really Work? Does The Hair Come Out Nice And Does Anyone Know Anyone Whos Had It And Did They Come Out Good?
The hair is taken from the back of the Head and implanted into the bald area. Before the hair is taken from the back, it is cut very short.
New growth can be seen in about 3 month. At 6 month you will have a little hair to comb. Occasionally it takes a year for the new growth to come in. The transplanted hair will stay with you as long as the hair in the area where it was taken from. As people age, their hair gets
progressively thinner and if that happens in the area the hair was taken from, it will happen to the transplanted hair as well.

What Is A Good Electronic Mens Razor? Braun, Norelco Etc?
Looking For A Mens Electronic Razor For My Husband. I Never Bought One Before And I Would Like Some Mens Opinions On Which One Is Best. But I Wont Spend More Then $120-130 On One Either. I Want Something That Will Last, Wont Break, Has Warranty And Works Very Well And Makes My Husbands Face Soft 🙂 Thanks
If you spend $120+ dollars, you will get a quality shaver no matter the brand. Both Norelco and Braun are reliable quality brands.
While 9 times out of 10 I tend to agree with Connor's advice, this time I don't! I have been shaving with an electric shaver for a long time now, and I get a smooth "babies bottom" shave every time! And I am a guy who has coarse hair that grows like weeds! I also suffer none of the other traditional draw backs of blade shaving either, such as nicks and cuts or razor bumps. I don't have to keep buying an endless supply of razors or all the other crap that goes with it! I just plug the sucker in, let it charge up over night and run it over my face in the morning for a quick pronto shave done in less then half the time as conventional shaving!
How Many Years Does It Take For Hair Replacement To Start Fading?
I Am 28. I Started Slightly Balding A Few Years Ago And Gradually Losing More. I Went For A Consultation Meeting. At The End I Said &Quot;Maybe,&Quot; Basing It On A Few Factors. The Factor In This Question Is: The Consultation Lady, After Taking Photographs And Prescribing A Plan Told Me Something Like &Quot;For This Amount, We Will Put Grafts In The Spots Where You Lost Hair.&Quot; I Said &Quot;That Sounds Good.&Quot; She Then Realized &Quot;But What About The Hair You Lose Afterwards.&Quot;
I Had An Idea Of Doing My Whole Head, But She Answered &Quot;Well, That Would Be Nice If It Worked But We Can'T Put Grafts In Spots That Are Already Full Of Natural Hair.&Quot; I Stated &Quot;Maybe When Those Spots Lose Hair Too I'Ll Come Back And Get Them Grafted Too.&Quot; I Did Not Ask Her This Because I Did Not Want To Question Their Professional Service.
But Let'S Say A Guy Who Is A Little Or A Lot Bald, Paid To Have His Hair Replaced. It Works-Surely.
But Is It Possible That In 5, 10, 15 Or X Amount Of Years Later That &Quot;Surgical&Quot; Hair Will Start To Go Away Too? If So, Does Anyone Know The Approximate Amount Of Years It Stays?
Does Anyone Know If You Get Hair Replacement Now For Your Significant Amount Of Lost Hair, When More Of Your Hair Loses, Can You Get It Replaced As Well Without Messing Up The Original New Hair?
All Input Is Appreciated. You Can Be Honest But Please Do So In A Respectful Manner. Thanks, Hope You Are Having A Pleasent Day.
It might help to know that a hair lives for around four years, growing to a terminal length of several feet if not cut; the average rate of hair growth is 1/8" per week. When a hair reaches terminal length, whether cut terminal length or natural terminal length, the hair falls out and is replaced by a fresh hair. For guys with male pattern baldness, the replacement hairs become progressively thinner and grow to ever shorter terminal lengths until they are fine nearly invisible vellus hairs.
It is kind of troubling if the "consultation lady" you were discussing this with was not a licensed plastic surgeon or dermatologist. The hair that is transplanted is harvested from the back and sides, areas that normally do not thin to the point of being short, fine, nearly invisible vellus hairs as happens in the "bald" areas. Most guys who are "bald" on top actually still have a full head of hair; their hair in the "bald" area has thinned to short, fine nearly invisible vellus hairs.
The main issue with regard to hair transplants is the way the hair is harvested from the back and sides. There is the older strip extraction surgery which has limitations due to scalp tightness and the newer FUE(follicular unit extraction.) WIth FUE, there are no scalpels, no staples or stitches, and only a topical anesthetic is used. A follicular unit consisting of one to three hairs is extracted from the back and sides and then is transplanted to the thinning area on top. With a strip extraction surgery, a strip of scalp, about one fourth of an inch wide circling the back and sides of the head is surgically removed and the remaining scalp is stapled of stitches together. The strip of scalp is then cut up into follicular units to transplant. The tightness of the scalp can limit the number of strip extractions. FUE is a less invasive procedure and getting additional hair grafts transplanted as the scalp becomes balder is relatively easy in comparison to a procedure that requires a strip extraction surgery. The tightness of the scalp does not limit the number of grafts possible throughout a guy's life. The area the follicular units are going to be harvested from is clipped quite short and the grafts are harvested. An FUE transplant entails having the back and sides cut very short prior to a procedure. There are likely to be advances in hair cloning and hair multiplication in the very near future that will make harvesting hair from the scalp to transplant to thinning/balding areas unnecessary. Search the internet under FUE, Strip Extraction Surgery, hair cloning and hair multiplication and there is a lot of information available, some of it with regard to FUE versus Strip Extraction Surgery is biased to favor the procedure practiced by the surgeon whose website it appears.
I Am 21 Years Old, If I Get Testosterone Replacement Therapy, Will I Lose Hair?
I Was Diagnosed With Low Testosterone Levels And The Brain Sending Signals To Produce More. If I Am Given This Therapy, Will I Lose My Hair? I Have Fairly Healthy Hair But Looking Back I Have Always Lacked A Solid Amount Of Testosterone Unless I Was Working Out(Very Rigorously). In Fact, I Worked Out For The Reason Of Raising Testosterone Because I Knew I Had Low Levels Even Before Being Diagnosed.
Testosterone replacement therapy will not cause you to lose hair but if male pattern baldness runs in your family you might inherit that trait. I've taken testosterone injections for over 12 years and the only side affect I've noticed regarding hair is it grows faster on my face and chest but the hair on my head has stayed virtually the same as before.
Cost Of Reallusions Hair Loss Treatment For Women?
I Was Looking Online For Different Types Of Hair Loss/Thinning Treatments For Women For My Mother. Her Hair Has Become Quite Thin In The Front And It Bothers Her Terribly. She Has Tried A Small Hair Piece, Not A Cheap One Either, But Various Hair Dressers Could Never Blend It Quite Right With The Rest Of Her Hair.
I Stumbled Across The Website &Quot;Iwanthair.Com&Quot; And Was Interested In The Reallusions Treatment But I Can'T Seem To Find Any Info On How Much Something Like That Would Cost. I Know It Won'T Be Cheap But The Nearest Location For My Mother To Receive A Consultation Visit Is Roughly 2 Hours Away. I Would Just Like To Know If This Treatment Would Be A Feasible Option For My Mother Cost Wise Before Visiting The Clinic For A Consultation.
If Anyone Knows Of Approximate Costs Of This Treatment And/Or Has Had Experience With It, I Would Greatly Appreciate Your Feedback.

Are A Washer And A Dryer Required In A Hair Salon?
I Am Opening A New Hair Salon In Plantation, Florida.
I Can'T Find In Any Web Pages Either From The City Of Plantation, Or From The Fla. Department Of Business And Professional Regulations, Any Information Regarding This.
I assume you mean for laundry, and the likely reason you can't find it in the regulations is that they aren't required. Certainly they're desirable, considering how many towels a salon goes through in a day, but there's no reason the staff couldn't wash them at home. (Except electricity costs.)
