Hair Loss Treatment for Women in Long Island City
Brief Article Teaches You the Ins and Outs of Hair Loss Treatment and What You Should Do Today
Hair loss is a hard thing for anybody to grapple with, and women specifically. While it is typically thought to be a male problem, it is also something that affects women as well. It is a problem of several people. Hair loss is crucial to avoid, but a lot of people find that it’s difficult, this is a cure to assist.
Hair loss is a typical problem which is frequently experienced by both women and men and can be brought about by quite a few distinct things including poor diet plan and genetics. It is not cured with just a month or two into any treatment. It is not just a simple appearance problem. The loss of hair because of nutrient-deficient condition can be corrected with the correct diet including adequate heights of all important minerals and vitamins.
The One Thing to Do for Hair Loss Treatment
Hair can start to fall out for a lot of reasons. It can be extremely frustrating and difficult, if you want to quit losing hair, to purchase plenty of different products which do not do the job. Beautiful and healthful hair enhances your personality.
The main cause of hair loss is called androgenetic alopecia. It is one of the most common problems experienced by men and women all over the world. It will probably halt the loss of hair in most of men, but the quantity of regrowth will be dependent on the person.
There are several types of hair loss and balding. While the mechanism of the phenomenon of hair loss and baldness is not fully understood, there is vast knowledge on the ability to treat the types of hair loss and baldness by medication or natural means.
We are dividing the alopecia types into treatable and non-treatable conditions and we shall hereby explain how one can evaluate the chances of successful treatment in the treatable conditions.
When evaluating the chances of improving the condition of the hair, the most important criteria is the condition of the hair follicles. As long as the hair follicles are alive, there is a chance to grow new hair. Otherwise, there is no basis for any treatment to succeed and the only options are cosmetic- wig, hair transplant etc.
Life period of the hair follicles may reach up to twenty-five years. The hair follicles grow hair in cycles of growth and fall. In the process of hair loss, each cycle of growth produces shorter, thinner hair and there is less pigment (color).
When the scalp has a bright plume, it indicates that the hair follicle is still alive but dormant. Given the appropriate specialist’s knowledge and therapy, the hair follicle can be stimulated to grow hair. However if the surface is completely smooth, it indicates that the hair follicle is no longer alive and there is zero chance to grow hair- except in some cases as explained below (Alopecia Areata, Totalis and Universalis).
The different types of hair loss and the chances of growth of new hair are hereby given.
Non Treatable conditions
The conditions of hair loss which have no chance of hair regrowth are: Alopecia from birth, Scarring Alopecia, Traction Alopecia and Lupus disease.
Alopecia from birth is a rare condition, where the infant is born without hair follicles.
In Scarring Alopecia the infected zone looks like a scar and the hair follicles are dead. The reasons of the phenomena are unknown. The chances of growing new hair are zero, but with proper treatment the expansion of the Scarring Alopecia can be stopped.
In Traction Alopecia the hair is pulled out of the scalp and the hair follicle becomes weak and dies.
In alopecia which is caused by Lupus disease, the skin is rough and pink and the chances of growth of hair is almost non existent.
The conditions of hair loss which has a chance to be treated successfully are: Male Pattern Alopecia, Alopecia Areata, Alopecia Totalis and Alopecia Universalis.
Male Pattern Alopecia is common male baldness. It’s characteristics are loss of hair at the front and crown area first. In many cases, there is still at least hair plume, hair loss and baldness can be stopped by affecting the hair follicles.
In Alopecia Areata condition, typical round hair loss patches evolve rapidly. Sometimes the bald patches spread to full hair loss of the scalp (Alopecia Totalis) or even whole body areas (Alopecia Universalis). The phenomenon could harm men, women and small children. Conventional medicine assumes the Alopecia Areata condition is an autoimmune disease, though the exact mechanism of Alopecia Areata is not known nor fully understood.
In many cases Alopecia Areata is caused by psychological pressure: people who experienced trauma have sometimes lost entire hair within hours or days.
Evaluating Chances of Successful Treatment
As explained in the introduction, the condition of the hair follicles is the most important criteria for evaluating the chances of successful treatment. Existence of thin white hair is a visible sign for living hair follicles. The thin white hair can be noticed when examining the scalp from close distance, with good light conditions. Sometimes viewing the scalp from an angle against light source helps to see the thin white hair.
Naturally, when there is thin white hair on the alopecia area, it indicates that the hair follicles are weak but alive, so there is a basis to grow hair, given the proper treatment. But when the alopecia area is smooth, the evaluation depends on the alopecia type:
In male pattern alopecia condition, smooth scalp is a clear indication that the hair follicles are not alive and there is no chance to grow new hair. However in Alopecia Areata, Alopecia Totalis and Alopecia Universalis the hair follicles sometimes remain alive even if the alopecia area is smooth and evaluating the condition of the hair follicles should take into consideration other important factors.
The factors which play important role in the condition of the hair follicles and hence the chances of success:
– Age of the patient: at younger age there are higher chances to recover
– Period with Alopeia Areata condition: if the condition is recent, the chances are higher. Among people who experienced Alopecia Areata for decades, the hair follicles are probably too weak.
– Alopecia Areata condition was due to a shock: In those cases, the chances of recovery are better.
– Use of violent and inappropriate treatment: Some treatments cause permanent damage to the hair follicles. In such cases, even if there is growth of hair, it is common that once the treatment is stopped the hair falls and the hair follicles remain weaker, which makes it harder to stimulate growth.
– Thin white hair: as previously explained, if there is thin white hair the chances of recovery increase.
– Use of wig: When a wig is applied, the scalp’s skin is not normally exposed to air and is not breathing (skin is not able to absorb oxygen). In cases of wig users, the chances of recovery are lower. If wig is attached by glue, chances are near zero.
It should be emphasized that these are general guidelines for treatment success chances, based on experience with a population of Alopecia Areata patients. A personal evaluation is required in order to accurately evaluate the success chances of a specific person.
Choosing the Right Treatment
There are natural or medication therapies which are intended to revive the hair roots. When considering medication treatment, it is advised to consult with a specialist dermatologist and inquire about possible side effects. The internet includes vast information about the side effects of conventional treatments. In case of natural treatments, it is advised to seek for a treatment which is certified by a recognized organization. The treatment should be certified for being safe for usage and without any side effects. In order to be certified for zero side effects, the treatment should contain only herbs and plants with the maximal safety degree – edible herbs- as defined by the U.S. CTFA list of plants.

In a recent survey, it was found that men fear losing their hair, either by it thinning, receding or by going bald completely, will make them unattractive in the eyes of others. It seems that lots of men worry about what others think about their hair loss. The survey revealed that Long Island City New York men who have bald fathers tend to keep their own hair short, so that if the hair begins to fall out it wouldn’t be such a shock to lose it all.
There are three general patterns of male pattern hair loss, and men can experience one of these patterns of hair loss or a mixture of all three:
- A receding hairline is one of the most common hair loss patterns, where the hair is lost at the temples, either side of the forehead, usually leaving a mound in the middle. This may sometimes be the only area of hair loss, but others may experience thinning at the crown as well.
- Some men will experience their hair thinning at the crown, which is at the back or top of the head. This can occur by itself or coincide with a receding hairline. Usually hair loss starts with thinning at the crown until the scalp becomes visible, and in time a bald patch may appear. This bald patch may grow wider until it meets the receding hairline, or it may stay at the top or back of the head and spread outwards in all directions to produce a circular baldness.
- General thinning spreads evenly over the top of the scalp, and men will not get a distinct receding hairline or a thinning crown. With general thinning, the onset of hair loss is less obvious and takes longer to notice.
One method of restoring hair to a follically challenged head is the FUE hair transplant technique. FUE involves taking healthy hair follicles from the scalp one by one and grafting them into the bald areas of the head. The Long Island City NY surgeon transplants hair follicles into the same slot that contained previous hair, giving it a better chance of settling in permanently. This method of transplanting is very intricate and it requires special attention and care. This means the treatment is completed over a number of sessions and not performed in one long exhausting procedure. The grafts usually take in a few days and the redness caused by the treatment settles in under a week.
FUE hair transplants are very popular as:
- They deliver more natural-looking results.
- The treatment is less painful than other methods.
- Downtime is minimal.
In most cases, once you receive the aesthetics, you’ll only feel minimal discomfort during the procedure. With the FUE hair transplant technique, visible scarring on the scalp is negligible. FUE transplant procedures are less painful compared to earlier transplant treatments and they tend to produce more natural looking results.

Some Common Q & A’s
Which Is A Better Hair Restoration Process. Bosley Or Hair Club?
I did have a hair restoration procedure and yes, it was a Bosley hair transplantation. I had my procedure done back in July and couldn't be happier with the results. Since receiving the procedure I have kept a blog called BattleAgainstBald.com. The blog details the results of my Bosley hair transplantation and I also provide a wealth of information on hair loss and the other methods used to correct it.
I don't know much about HairClub because I never tried it out. But BattleAgainstBald.com's newest hair restoration blogger, Torrance, gave HairClub a try a few years back and expressed his feeling for it in his first blog entry. In short, Torrance liked it but Bosley made the most sense in the end.
I encourage you to check out BattleAgainstBald.com, as I'm sure the information there can answer a lot, if not all of your questions.
Best of luck!
Best/Legit Non Surgical Hair Replacement?
Im 18, Losing My Hair, And I Was Leaning Twoards Hairclub But No Longer Will Go With Them Because Of All The Horrifying Reviews. Someone Please Help Me Out Here I Am Really Desperate.
Hi Alex - There are plenty of good places to go. There is a website called iwanthair.com. If you go on there they have a studio locator where you can find businesses that offer the same services as Hair Club. Most are owned and operated by an individual, not a corporation, so you should receive good service and quality products. Good luck and let me know if you have anymore questions. I work in the industry and I am happy to help in any way I can.

Can I Use Hair Regrowth Treatment On My Face?
It Sounds Weird, I Know, Especially Coming From A Girl.
When I First Started To Pluck My Eyebrows In High School (Four Or Five Years Ago), I Went Overboard And Made Them Too Thin. At The Time, I Thought They Looked Fine And Continued. For Over A Year, I'Ve Been Trying To Grow My Eyebrows Back, And I'Ve Been *Mostly* Successful. The Big Problem, Though, Is That The Exact Spots That Are Supposed To Create The Arch Are Missing.
I Did Some Light Research Online, But Unfortunately I Could Only Find People Asking About Eyebrows That Were Temporarily Overplucked (&Quot;Help, I Accidentally Overplucked This Morning! What Do I Do?!&Quot;), Instead Of Repeatedly Overplucked (&Quot;Help, I Overplucked Four Years Ago. Now What?!&Quot;). A Few, However, Mentioned Using Hair Regrowth Treatment Like Rogaine.
1) Can I Use Women'S Rogaine On My Eyebrows? I Checked The Back Of A Package, And It Warned Against Using It On &Quot;Other Areas Of The Body.&Quot; (Other Than The Scalp, I'M Assuming.)
2) How Effective Do You Think It Would Be?
3) Would The Store-Brand Alternative To Rogaine Work, As Well? It'S Twenty To Thirty Dollars Cheaper, Plus I Could Get An Employee Discount On It.
The answer is NO.
According to Dr. Melissa Piliang, a dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic. Americans spent an estimated $176 million on hair loss products last year, and chances are some of that money was not well spent. Don’t let charming salon owners, seductive ads or fancy gimmicks convince you otherwise.
My sister shaved her eyebrows when she was 17. They never grow back. She had double mastectomy by age 35. She no longer has cancer, but her eyebrows never grow back.
I Hear A Large Number Of People Who Undergo Hair Implantation Suffer Headaches After The Procedure. Is This A Fact, Or Is It A Rumor?
Well if it's anything like I saw on a makeover story I guess they would have a headache.. They cut a strip of skin off from just above the neck and then grow hair follicles in a solution.. They then take those hairs one by one and poke them into the balding area.. I forgot to also mention they do stitch together the area the strip was removed from..

Should I Get A Hair Transplant (No Longer Attractive To Women)?
I Started Losing My Hair And Now Women Are No Longer Attracted To Me. Below Are Two Pictures:
Should I Save Up And Get A Hair Transplant?
You're a good looking guy, I wouldn't let it bother you.
Male pattern baldness is very common and most men lose their hair eventually, you're lucky that you have a round face which means you're more suited to a shaved head.
If you think you would genuinely benefit from getting a hair transplant and it's that important to you do it but don't break the bank over something like that, everyone has hangups about their looks, plenty of bald men have no trouble with women it's just confidence.
If you do decide to get it done, don't cheap out, get it done properly, none of this hair plug s**t.
How Long Does Hair Restoration Take To Work?
I Am Thinking About Getting A Hair Restoration Surgery. Does Anyone Know How Long It Take For Them To Work; As Well As How Long The Actual Procedure Takes.
I had a Bosley Hair Restoration procedure done back in July and already, only 4 months after my surgery I am seeing great results. Most surgeons say it takes 3-6 months for the results to appear. I first noticed hair re-growth 2 months after my procedure and now my hair is significantly thicker. As for the actual procedure, it takes a full day; I had 1900 grafts done and it was an 8 hour affair.
In addition, I have been documenting my hair restoration experience on BattleAgainstBald.com. BattleAgainstBald.com is a great resource complete with daily blog entries, pictures, and video from my procedure.
