Top Tips of Hair Loss Treatment

Hair loss is a hard thing for anybody to grapple with, and women specifically. While it is typically thought to be a male problem, it is also something that affects women as well. It is a problem of several people. Hair loss is crucial to avoid, but a lot of people find that it’s difficult, this is a cure to assist.

Hair loss is a typical problem which is frequently experienced by both women and men and can be brought about by quite a few distinct things including poor diet plan and genetics. It is not cured with just a month or two into any treatment. It is not just a simple appearance problem. The loss of hair because of nutrient-deficient condition can be corrected with the correct diet including adequate heights of all important minerals and vitamins.

The One Thing to Do for Hair Loss Treatment

Hair can start to fall out for a lot of reasons. It can be extremely frustrating and difficult, if you want to quit losing hair, to purchase plenty of different products which do not do the job. Beautiful and healthful hair enhances your personality.

Top Hair Loss Treatment Secrets

The main cause of hair loss is called androgenetic alopecia. It is one of the most common problems experienced by men and women all over the world. It will probably halt the loss of hair in most of men, but the quantity of regrowth will be dependent on the person.

Introduction

There are several types of hair loss and balding. While the mechanism of the phenomenon of hair loss and baldness is not fully understood, there is vast knowledge on the ability to treat the types of hair loss and baldness by medication or natural means.

We are dividing the alopecia types into treatable and non-treatable conditions and we shall hereby explain how one can evaluate the chances of successful treatment in the treatable conditions.

When evaluating the chances of improving the condition of the hair, the most important criteria is the condition of the hair follicles. As long as the hair follicles are alive, there is a chance to grow new hair. Otherwise, there is no basis for any treatment to succeed and the only options are cosmetic- wig, hair transplant etc.

Life period of the hair follicles may reach up to twenty-five years. The hair follicles grow hair in cycles of growth and fall. In the process of hair loss, each cycle of growth produces shorter, thinner hair and there is less pigment (color).

When the scalp has a bright plume, it indicates that the hair follicle is still alive but dormant. Given the appropriate specialist’s knowledge and therapy, the hair follicle can be stimulated to grow hair. However if the surface is completely smooth, it indicates that the hair follicle is no longer alive and there is zero chance to grow hair- except in some cases as explained below (Alopecia Areata, Totalis and Universalis).

The different types of hair loss and the chances of growth of new hair are hereby given.

Non Treatable conditions

The conditions of hair loss which have no chance of hair regrowth are: Alopecia from birth, Scarring Alopecia, Traction Alopecia and Lupus disease.

Alopecia from birth is a rare condition, where the infant is born without hair follicles.

In Scarring Alopecia the infected zone looks like a scar and the hair follicles are dead. The reasons of the phenomena are unknown. The chances of growing new hair are zero, but with proper treatment the expansion of the Scarring Alopecia can be stopped.

In Traction Alopecia the hair is pulled out of the scalp and the hair follicle becomes weak and dies.

In alopecia which is caused by Lupus disease, the skin is rough and pink and the chances of growth of hair is almost non existent.

Treatable Conditions

The conditions of hair loss which has a chance to be treated successfully are: Male Pattern Alopecia, Alopecia Areata, Alopecia Totalis and Alopecia Universalis.

Male Pattern Alopecia is common male baldness. It’s characteristics are loss of hair at the front and crown area first. In many cases, there is still at least hair plume, hair loss and baldness can be stopped by affecting the hair follicles.

In Alopecia Areata condition, typical round hair loss patches evolve rapidly. Sometimes the bald patches spread to full hair loss of the scalp (Alopecia Totalis) or even whole body areas (Alopecia Universalis). The phenomenon could harm men, women and small children. Conventional medicine assumes the Alopecia Areata condition is an autoimmune disease, though the exact mechanism of Alopecia Areata is not known nor fully understood.

In many cases Alopecia Areata is caused by psychological pressure: people who experienced trauma have sometimes lost entire hair within hours or days.

Evaluating Chances of Successful Treatment

As explained in the introduction, the condition of the hair follicles is the most important criteria for evaluating the chances of successful treatment. Existence of thin white hair is a visible sign for living hair follicles. The thin white hair can be noticed when examining the scalp from close distance, with good light conditions. Sometimes viewing the scalp from an angle against light source helps to see the thin white hair.

Naturally, when there is thin white hair on the alopecia area, it indicates that the hair follicles are weak but alive, so there is a basis to grow hair, given the proper treatment. But when the alopecia area is smooth, the evaluation depends on the alopecia type:

In male pattern alopecia condition, smooth scalp is a clear indication that the hair follicles are not alive and there is no chance to grow new hair. However in Alopecia Areata, Alopecia Totalis and Alopecia Universalis the hair follicles sometimes remain alive even if the alopecia area is smooth and evaluating the condition of the hair follicles should take into consideration other important factors.

The factors which play important role in the condition of the hair follicles and hence the chances of success:

– Age of the patient: at younger age there are higher chances to recover

– Period with Alopeia Areata condition: if the condition is recent, the chances are higher. Among people who experienced Alopecia Areata for decades, the hair follicles are probably too weak.

– Alopecia Areata condition was due to a shock: In those cases, the chances of recovery are better.

– Use of violent and inappropriate treatment: Some treatments cause permanent damage to the hair follicles. In such cases, even if there is growth of hair, it is common that once the treatment is stopped the hair falls and the hair follicles remain weaker, which makes it harder to stimulate growth.

– Thin white hair: as previously explained, if there is thin white hair the chances of recovery increase.

– Use of wig: When a wig is applied, the scalp’s skin is not normally exposed to air and is not breathing (skin is not able to absorb oxygen). In cases of wig users, the chances of recovery are lower. If wig is attached by glue, chances are near zero.

It should be emphasized that these are general guidelines for treatment success chances, based on experience with a population of Alopecia Areata patients. A personal evaluation is required in order to accurately evaluate the success chances of a specific person.

Choosing the Right Treatment

There are natural or medication therapies which are intended to revive the hair roots. When considering medication treatment, it is advised to consult with a specialist dermatologist and inquire about possible side effects. The internet includes vast information about the side effects of conventional treatments. In case of natural treatments, it is advised to seek for a treatment which is certified by a recognized organization. The treatment should be certified for being safe for usage and without any side effects. In order to be certified for zero side effects, the treatment should contain only herbs and plants with the maximal safety degree – edible herbs- as defined by the U.S. CTFA list of plants.

That is the question that motivates Dr. Brett Bolton, a hair transplant surgeon in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Today’s ‘gold standard’ of hair transplantation is not high enough for Dr. Bolton who has specialized in hair restoration since 1997. In the late 90’s he was fortunate enough to enter the field of hair transplant surgery during a transitional time when technology was being shaped. Outdated techniques like the large chunky hair plugs, punch grafts and flap surgeries Homer New York were on their way out and the defining new technique of follicular unit transplantation (FUT) was just cresting the horizon. Dr. Bolton’s vantage point at that time could not have been any better. He learned from the mistakes of other hair doctors as he repaired bad transplants, and he also gleaned valuable techniques from talented surgeons like the late Dr. Constantine Chambers who did wonders with old technology, especially in the crown area.

With FUT, doctors transplant small slit grafts which contain only one hair bundle. These grafts are harvested from a single strip of donor tissue and separated under a microscope. They contain a naturally occurring bundle of 1-4 hairs. The result is very natural-looking but Dr. Bolton would argue that there is not enough hair density to give patients a satisfying outcome with 1-4 hair grafts only.

In the early 2000’s, it became exceptionable for doctors to perform surgeries using anything other than FUT. However, Dr. Bolton had already developed a method of transplantation using a mixture of graft sizes that far outperformed the standard follicular unit transplantation. He was not willing to cast off a technique that was proving to be extremely successful in his practice despite pressure from peers. Instead, he refined and developed this approach and proudly applies Multi-Unit Hair Grafting ™, which he co-developed at PAI Medical Group in Nashville, Tennessee. By using a combination of micrografts (single hair grafts), follicular units and multiple follicular unit grafts, which is a slit graft containing 2 to 3 follicular units, Dr. Bolton gives patients 2-3 times the density compared to other doctors who use FUT only.

Some of Dr. Bolton’s peers suggest in error that multi-unit grafts are old style hair plugs. These new style slit grafts are slightly larger than standard follicular units. Separated under a microscope just like follicular units, these multi-unit grafts are not harvested with a punch biopsy instrument. This insures hardiness of the delicate hair follicles and surrounding tissue. They are never used in the frontal hairline and are strategically placed throughout the vertex and crown to make the most of density. This style of transplantation is so unique, Dr. Bolton cannot even charge by the graft because it simply doesn’t translate. Instead, he charges by hair volume. When compared to competitors, hair for hair, Dr. Bolton’s surgery is the best value in the industry.

Some Common Q & A’s

For People Who Had A Sex Change?
Am Just Curious. How Does The Whole Procedure Go? How Does Sex Feel After The Surgery'S Done? How Do Other People Look At You?

Some of it depends on your personality, and how well you adapt to drastic change in social settings, career, family, etc. For most, a lot of it depends on money. Transition almost always creates an upheaval in at least one area of your life that forces you to go slower than you'd like.

Transition takes a MINIMUM of 1-1/2 years if you follow the SOC, but I've never met anyone who did it that fast (except for one person, but her voice is still quite male, so I feel she isn't quite finished.)

For transsexual women, a typical time frame seems to be 3-5 years. People under 30 experience physical changes a little quicker, and often their facial hair is not as dense, so that means less electrolysis.

The basics of the procedure are:
- Therapy
- Facial & body hair removal / grow out head hair
- Hormones
- One year real life experience
- Surgery
- Legal name change

Mixed in with all this are millions of details... staying employed, maintaining stable living arrangements, dealing with family & friends, saving money, saving more money. Some people opt to have facial surgery to appear more like their target gender. Some people need to get hair transplants, or some of other solution if they've lost too much hair. Then there are tons of things you need to change your name on - mortgages and/or leases, credit cards, bank accounts, utility bills, vehicle licenses & insurance, passports, etc, etc.

I can not comment on the sex (nor would I if I could) but according to others, it's more or less the same experience as any woman has. Many say it's better personally, because they can function like "themselves" for the first time in their life.

Other people look at you the way they look at you. I don't know any transsexual women who walk around in public broadcasting their condition. Passability can sometimes be an issue if you make an EFFORT to not act female (or don't work on your voice enough), but most transsexual women blend in well enough to not be noticed. Time helps. Basically, as long as you mind your own business, other people tend to do the same. In some cities, it's not even an issue. Walk around NYC on any given day and you're bound to see a few trans-people, and probably pass many more who you wouldn't know are transsexual. Transsexuals in New York are no big deal, because everybody in New York is used to people expressing whatever they feel, and seeing things in NYC that are out of the ordinary happens so much, that pretty much everything is eventually ordinary. Finding employment is easier in NYC as well, because many employers are accustomed to hiring people that present all types of gender expression. Again, it's just business as usual.

However, large cities are usually the exception to the rule. In a great deal of rural America, and the Bible belt, there is still a tremendous amount of prejudice and hate towards transsexuals (and almost anyone who is different enough to cause ripples.)

Pcos? And Hair Loss Help?
I Was Diagnosed With This On September. I Have Irregular Periods And I'Ve Gained Like 15 Pounds. My Doctor Gave Bcp. I Did Research And Changed A Lot In My Diet But I'M Not Taking The Bcp Because Some Say It'S Not Good And Can Worsen Symptoms. I'M Considering Taking The Pill Now Because My Hair Has Been Getting Really Thin. :/ Will This Help It? I'M Seeing The Doctor In A Month.

Supplements are a highly recommended PCOS hair loss treatment option. B vitamins are strongly suggested. The male hair restoration drug Propecia is FDA approved for growing hair in men only. Studies have shown, however, that the supplement saw palmetto is just as efficient in growing hair in women. Provillius is a supplement that utilizes saw palmetto and other essential vitamins to restore hair growth. This may be a more favorable option over having to consume multiple tablets and capsules on a regular basis.

How Do I Stop Massive Hair Loss? I Can'T Afford The Hair Restoration Method.?
Is There Anything Which Can Immediately Stop My Hair Loss. I Am Really Scared That I Might Get Bald Very Soon.

anyway as we know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.

year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed
It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for him!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.com/?id=fc7a24

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

good luck!

Can Testosterone Replacement Therapy, Like Testosterone Gel, Cause Hair Loss?

If you were already genetically predisposed to lose your hair (i.e. if your mom's side has men [&/or women] with androgenic alopecia), testosterone of any origin (outside the body or naturally produced) can contribute to hair loss. It isn't testosterone itself, but dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which testosterone may convert into. In comparison to injections, testosterone gel has an especially high rate of converting to DHT due to an abundance of DHT converting enzymes (5 alpha reductase) in the skin.

However, hair loss can have multiple hormonal causes (adrenaline, hypothyroidism, etc.) & non-hormonal causes. Even DHT's role is complicated, as it *may* help the immune system in treating hair follicles on the scalp as foreigners, thereby causing hair loss as an autoimmune response. This is only one mechanism of hair loss.

What Is The Cost Of Hair Implant/Graft (≪1,000 Grafts) Surgery ?

Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost of Hair Implant/Graft (<1,000 Grafts) surgery in India. One of the most frequently asked questions when considering Removal of Hair Implant/Graft (<1,000 Grafts) surgery is "how much?" and “what is the price of surgery in India?”

Oftentimes, patients choose their surgeon on the basis of price.
The cost of Hair Implant/Graft (<1,000 Grafts) surgery is very affordable in India and costs are much lower when compared to the United States, UK and other countries. However, since the success of your surgery is largely dependent on your choice of surgeon, cost should not be your main consideration for your decision to undergo Hair Implant/Graft (<1,000 Grafts) surgery in India.

I checked out the website of Forerunners Healthcare –which is the premier most medical tourism company in India offering low cost surgery in India to International Patients. They have served more than 400 International patients from across the globe (specially US and UK) to get low cost affordable surgery in India at the best Hospitals and Medical Institutions. And the general price of the Hair Implant/Graft (<1,000 Grafts) surgery is as follows-

The Cost of Hair Implant/Graft (<1,000 Grafts) surgery in India is $ 1,350.

http://www.forerunnershealthcare.com

In India, any licensed medical doctor can perform Hair Implant/Graft (<1,000 Grafts) surgery. To avoid unsatisfactory results, it is best to choose a surgeon who has completed an accredited residency-training program in Hair Implant/Graft (<1,000 Grafts) surgery. He should have extensive experience in the procedure you will undergo. That’s when Forerunners Healthcare come into picture-helping you get the best surgeon for your surgery at the most affordable prices in the best Hospitals of India.

Your surgeon's skill can make all the difference between a good and an average result. Thus, although it is understandable that price is one of the considerations in your choice of surgeon, it is important to remember that the main consideration should be your surgeon's professional qualifications and experience.

Besides that you should look into other issues related to traveling abroad, which is your visa, passport, climate, cultural issues and language barrier. Although language is not a problem in India –as most of the people are well verse in English. But you should make sure that you have a reliable hand holding person to guide you through the various steps of getting medical treatment and surgery in India.

Hope this helps.

Hair Loss Follicular Procedure ?
Hair Loss Follicular Implant Procedure ? Hair Loss Follicular Implant Procedure ? What Is It, Does It Hurt? If You Tried It Are You Happy? Advice Would Be Great! I Have Very Very Thin Hair!! I Mean If I Part My Hair To Put Up Half Way I Almost Look Bald! And I'M Getting Married In 13 Months And Would Like To Have A Head Full Of Hair For My Wedding! And Nothing Medical Has Worked!

If you have thin hair all over your head it probably won't work because the hair is just being moved around. If the hair is thick in one area and thin in another as with males experiencing male pattern baldness then the thick area can be harvested for transplants, thinning it, and the thin area can be transplanted and it will be thicker, and an overall more even density all over the head can be achieved. The method is called follicular unit extraction(F.U.E.)or the Wood's method. Australian Dr. Ray Wood's pioneered the method. Single hairs are harvested from the thicker area and transplanted to the thin area. There are no scalpels used and no cutting as with the old "strip extraction surgery" harvesting method still being performed by most doctors. This left an 8-10 scar for every strip extraction. And strip extractions were limited by scalp tightness. Since there is no cutting, only a topical aneshtetic is used. You can learn more about it on Dr. Alvi Armani's and Dr. Woods website and many others:

Best Hair Restoration Surgeon In Chicago?
I'M Looking For A Hair Replacement Doctor In Chicago. Does Anyone Have Suggestions?

Go to YELP or Craigslist and read reviews or post on their message boards there from your city, or search name of surgeon under Better Business Bureau.

London: Men should avoid having hair transplants until they are closer to the age of 30, a leading surgeon has warned.

Doctor Bessam Farjo told Newsbeat some clinics are not doing enough to warn under-30s about the long-term risks.

He said that while the publicity in celebrities like Wayne Rooney getting the procedure is making it more popular, it is not for everyone.

“When a celebrity comes out with it, you only hear the good things,” the BBC quoted him as saying.

“You don`t hear the cautions or the potential complications.”

He says that if you get surgery too young, it can look worse than it did in the first place.“If you have the surgery too early and you go bald, you don`t have enough hair to keep chasing the hair loss,” he said.

“You can end up with isolated patches of hair. You could end up with hairy temples and a bald forehead which isn`t pretty but is also hard to fix.”

Google hair transplants gone wrong. About 5,980,000 results. 12-11.

Google: Hair Wars: Transplant firm Bosley sues Ziering over defection
The effort has helped turn the company into a nationwide leader in the field of hair restoration, with annual sales of more than $100 million. The company spent about $200000 training Dr. Yates, who had no experience with hair transplants . . .

Example who had a strip hair transplant done:
"i had my strip hair transplant done 6 months ago, and the area they had stripped and stiched back on still hurts when i touch or when i lay back can someone with strip hair transplant recomment a cure for the wound, anyone oil or cream so it could heal and not hurt.thanks a ton".

If your hair loss is genetics: Prince William, Prince Philip, Prince Charles for example . . .Dr. Asim Shahmalak, from Crown Clinic in the U.K., says the only way the prince can restore a reasonable amount of hair density to his head is through a procedure in which 3,000 to 4,000 hair grafts are taken from the back of the scalp and moved to the top of the head. This procedure isn’t available through the British National Health Service, and costs around $1,600 a year.

But most blokes don’t realise there are many different types of transplant to choose from – some using your own hair while others using donor hair – and various procedures can set you back anything from £4,000 to £30,000.

Natural Replacements/Remedies?
Can Anyone Give Me Examples ( Preferably Ones You Use Or Have Tried) Of Natural Replacements For The Following: Shampoo Conditioner Toothpaste Body Wash Mouth Rinse Face Wash Chapstick / Lip Gloss I Am Trying To Take Better Care Of My Body Without Chemicals And Have More Control Over What My Body Is Exposed To. Thank You For Your Time And Help 🙂

Baking soda. Baking soda is an extremely handy thing to have laying around because it can act as a natural substitute for all of those things (except chap stick or lip gloss). You might also want to try washing your mouth with a gulp of whiskey because the alcohol will kill the germs. You can also brush your teeth with lemon juice. For shampoo and conditioner, just try to find some all natural hair products to use and same with lip gloss.
