What You Should Do to Find Out About Hair Loss Treatment Before You’re Left Behind
Hair loss is a hard thing for anybody to grapple with, and women specifically. While it is typically thought to be a male problem, it is also something that affects women as well. It is a problem of several people. Hair loss is crucial to avoid, but a lot of people find that it’s difficult, this is a cure to assist.
Hair loss is a typical problem which is frequently experienced by both women and men and can be brought about by quite a few distinct things including poor diet plan and genetics. It is not cured with just a month or two into any treatment. It is not just a simple appearance problem. The loss of hair because of nutrient-deficient condition can be corrected with the correct diet including adequate heights of all important minerals and vitamins.
Hair can start to fall out for a lot of reasons. It can be extremely frustrating and difficult, if you want to quit losing hair, to purchase plenty of different products which do not do the job. Beautiful and healthful hair enhances your personality.
Hair Loss Treatment: No Longer a Mystery
The main cause of hair loss is called androgenetic alopecia. It is one of the most common problems experienced by men and women all over the world. It will probably halt the loss of hair in most of men, but the quantity of regrowth will be dependent on the person.
Humans have tried every imaginable thing to stop hair loss and regrow lost hair. They rubbed the juices of all vegetables and fruits, and extracts of every available herb. Yet, they were unable to find any effective hair growth treatment. Undoubtedly there are numerous natural and herbal treatments for hair growth, but almost all lack systematic studies. If we ever hope to grow hair by natural means, we need to study natural remedies thoroughly. And even those with proven effects need a lot of time and patience to be effective. Another thing that makes natural remedies the least preferred choice in this age of technology is their temporary results. Hairs grown through natural sources do not long last, and start shedding off as soon as the use is discontinued.
For now, we have three types of hair growth treatments that help regrow hair in a natural manner restore a thicker and fuller head of hair. These include medical treatment, laser therapy, and surgical hair restoration.
Medical Hair Growth Treatment
There are a few options available to treat this through medications. Actually, these treatments produce better results if you take them in combination with one another. Let us have a look at these FDA-approved effective hair loss medicines.
• Finasteride: Finasteride is the generic name of the probably most effective hair loss drug. This drug treats hair loss by inhibiting production of hair killing hormone DHT. DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is the most important hormone that signals the hair follicles to die – the most common cause of Androgenic Alopecia or male pattern baldness. To date, inhibiting this hormone is the most effective way to stop hair loss. Besides controlling hair loss, this medication thickens fine hair, and this produces considerable effect.
• Minoxidil: It is the second most effective treatment. It is supplied in the form of a topical solution. Minoxidil is also a generic name; famous brand names of this medication include Rogaine and Hair Max. You need to apply this solution on the scalp twice a day, or as prescribed by the doctor and massage for a few minutes.
• Ketoconazole: This medication is supplied as a shampoo-like solution. This encourages hair growth by keeping the scalp clean from fungus and dandruff. You need to use this as a shampoo twice a week, and leave the leather for 3-5 minutes on your head.
No doubt researchers have studied these medications and found them effective, they are not perfect yet. First, their effectiveness varies from person to person. One may find it very effective while another may find it minimally effective. Second, the effects of all medications are temporary. You will maintain your hair as long as you continue the use of these medications. Whenever you decide to discontinue the treatment, you will lose your hair maintained by these medications. Third, like all other medication, hair loss medication is not without side effects. You must discuss its side effects before starting the treatment.
Low-Level Laser Therapy
Low-level laser is showing some measurable results to stimulate hair growth. Currently, it is regarded as convenient alternative of medication with fewer side effects. However, its effectiveness is an issue of debate. Until now, it is unable to show dramatic improvement in hair density.
Surgical Hair Growth Treatment-Hair Transplant
Hair transplant is to date the most effective treatment to date. It can restore hair on balding places in an effective and predictable manner. Hair transplant extracts healthy, balding resistant hair follicles form one area of the head and plants them to the balding areas. Not all hairs on our head are prone to balding. While the hair at the front and crown of the head are prone to hair loss, hair at the sides and back of the head are resistant to it. This procedure makes excellent use of these hair reserves on our head.
• Follicular Unit Transplant: Also known as the strip removal method, FUT excises a strip of scalp, usually from the back of the head, and dissects is to obtain required hair follicles. The wound is stitched together and the grafts obtained from the strip and implanted on the thinning or bald areas.
• Follicular Unit Extraction: FUE is a relatively newer and more advanced technique replacing the traditional strip removal method. This technique involves extracting the hair follicles directly from the scalp, without cutting and stitching the scalp. The follicles are extracted using a specially designed punch tool with diameter less than 0.1 mm. What makes FUE a more preferred choice of surgeons and patients is its ability to extract hair follicles form body areas like chest, armpits, and legs as well.
• Stem Cell FUE: Stem Cell FUE is the latest advancement in FUE hair transplant. It is the quickest, safest and the most effective hair transplant technique to date. It uses an automated punch tool for extraction of hair follicles at the fastest possible speed. It also allows hair regrowth at the donor area, thus ensuring the most natural looking results.
A hair transplant has only one limitation: the availability of donor hair. At present, there is no way to create new hair follicles; therefore, the patient must have healthy, balding resistant hair follicles somewhere on the scalp or the body. Fortunately, most of us have enough donor hair on the scalp or on the body to create a dramatic improvement in hair density.
Video: Hair Replacement in Ovid
In a recent survey, it was found that men fear losing their hair, either by it thinning, receding or by going bald completely, will make them unattractive in the eyes of others. It seems that lots of men worry about what others think about their hair loss. The survey revealed that Ovid Michigan men who have bald fathers tend to keep their own hair short, so that if the hair begins to fall out it wouldn’t be such a shock to lose it all.
There are three general patterns of male pattern hair loss, and men can experience one of these patterns of hair loss or a mixture of all three:
- A receding hairline is one of the most common hair loss patterns, where the hair is lost at the temples, either side of the forehead, usually leaving a mound in the middle. This may sometimes be the only area of hair loss, but others may experience thinning at the crown as well.
- Some men will experience their hair thinning at the crown, which is at the back or top of the head. This can occur by itself or coincide with a receding hairline. Usually hair loss starts with thinning at the crown until the scalp becomes visible, and in time a bald patch may appear. This bald patch may grow wider until it meets the receding hairline, or it may stay at the top or back of the head and spread outwards in all directions to produce a circular baldness.
- General thinning spreads evenly over the top of the scalp, and men will not get a distinct receding hairline or a thinning crown. With general thinning, the onset of hair loss is less obvious and takes longer to notice.
One method of restoring hair to a follically challenged head is the FUE hair transplant technique. FUE involves taking healthy hair follicles from the scalp one by one and grafting them into the bald areas of the head. The Ovid MI surgeon transplants hair follicles into the same slot that contained previous hair, giving it a better chance of settling in permanently. This method of transplanting is very intricate and it requires special attention and care. This means the treatment is completed over a number of sessions and not performed in one long exhausting procedure. The grafts usually take in a few days and the redness caused by the treatment settles in under a week.
FUE hair transplants are very popular as:
- They deliver more natural-looking results.
- The treatment is less painful than other methods.
- Downtime is minimal.
In most cases, once you receive the aesthetics, you’ll only feel minimal discomfort during the procedure. With the FUE hair transplant technique, visible scarring on the scalp is negligible. FUE transplant procedures are less painful compared to earlier transplant treatments and they tend to produce more natural looking results.

Some Common Q & A’s
If Plastic Surgery Was Free, Would You Have It And For What?
Me, I Would Get Eyebrow Transplants To Correct My Noticeable Assymetrical Eyebrows, Have Lower Front Hairline Implants, (High Forehead), And Get A Chin Implant (Short Chin).
I would not have it. Not to make my nose a little smaller or my acne scars less apparent. Plastic surgery is the most absurd of all human endeavors.
Female Hair Loss Treatment? Dermatologist Or Dessange?
I'M A Female In My Early 20'S. I'Ve Been Suffering For The Past Months From Extravagant Hair Loss. My Mom Even Noticed That The Amount Of Hair I’Ve Been Losing Lately Is “Abnormal” I’M Simply Covering The House With All This Hair I’M Losing.
I Want To Know The Causes, And Ways To Prevent It. I’M Still Young To Get A Bald Head!
I’M Thinking Of Two Solutions, Which One Would You Recommend:
- Going To A Dermatologist.
- Going To (Dessange) Saloon Http://Www.Alghalia.Com/Pdf/Salon.Pdf
They Have (Hair Teraetment Sessions). If That Doesn’T Work, Then I Go To A Dermatologist.
What Do You Think?
For Extra Information:
Eating: I Eat Healthy. I’Ve Cut Back On Things I Used To Eat And Don’T Need (Chips, Chocolate, Etc) And Have Taken Out Breakfast From My Routine For About 3 Days A Week. I I Have Lost 2 Or So Kilos. Still Eat Well.
Stress: I Don’T Feel I’M Stressed Out Especially That I’M On Vacation.
Sleep: I Do Wake Up During My Sleep, But Generally I Sleep Well.
Sorry that this is happening to you, but this is a good question. First, you need to LOOK at the hair that has fallen out to determine the cause. Brush your hair as you normally would. Take any sheddings and examine them closely. If they are all of pretty much the same length, AND there is a white bulb on the end of them, then you are losing hair at the root, and that is an internal problem, possibly hormonaly related, or herditary. Woman are the gene carriers for baldness, not just male pattern baldness, so check out mom's side of the family. Are your uncles bald, or any cousins bald on her side of the family? Now if the hair that you have brushed out are of mostly varying lengths and no bulbs at the end, then it is a external problem, something in a styling product, or an exessive amount of heat on the hair. These are good rules of thumb to go by when determining hair loss. If you find that it is external, the I would suggest if you use styling products that you use a line that is sensitive to heat styling. May I suggest CHI styling products. They are silk infused and give your mane a beautiful luster filled look, without the oilyness and they help protect fro thermal exposure. Their lie can be found just about anywhere now. Your hair will thank you. If you get your hair professioanl styled, they will knwo exactly what yu are talking about. If it is internal, you must get to the root (pardon the pun) with the help of a dermatologist, as they are quite skilled on determining what is causing scalp (which is skin) problems as well. All the best!
Male Hair ....Thin,Loosing..Blad..?
I Have A Pretty Young Friend In His Early 20S
He Has Thin Hair And Is Starting To Loose His Hair
Could Be Stress Or Whatever,But He Doesnt Want To Loose His Hair And Wants Thicker Hair.
What Are Some Things To Take That Will Help You Keep The Hair You Have And Make Your Hair Thicker?
If it's thin your friend could invest in a HairMax laser comb, which increases density by as m uch as 10%in users generally
He could also use propecia -get it from a doc, it really works
Stress also does cause hair loss of course,so try ways to prevent stress, hypnosis, meditation, breathing exercises, having great sex, etc.
Saw palmetto is also an herb he can take which also reduces DHT(hairloss) hormone in men
Rogaine foam 5% also helps some men, but not all
Tell your friend to try to stop worrying so much about it, have less mirrors, as this causes more stress, etc
there are certain drugs also that causes hair loss, like anti-depressants,etc
There is no "special, magic" formula that will help it, so forget about all those commercials and ads you see in papers and tv that promise so much , they are lies!
Oh, the best advice is to shell out a few thousand dollars and get a good hair transplant surgery from a good doctor. This is your friend's best bet really
Laser Hair Removal System/Ipl???
I Want To Know About A Home System That I Can Use(I Am 16)
Also Whats Better Laser Or Ipl
Laser hair removal isn't cheap (about $200-$500 a session depending on where you live and the areas being treated. Again, it takes about 6 sessions to get rid of 70% of hair permanently. Touch-ups are always an option at about $100-$150 a session. With treatments averaging $65 per five minutes and a series of sessions required, permanent hair removal businesses are being set up in shopping centres and beauty clinics.
Glamour magazine ex-editor ended up scarred for life. For this very reason, you want to skip the discount places and get treated by a trained technician at an established medical facility. These places do NOT offer discounts.
Example of one who had them done.
My laser hair removal treatment takes 8 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart to see 60 percent reduction in hair growth. For best results, I got maintenance treatments done once a year for 4 years . Now I don't want to do this anymore! what is the best way to remove them from now on ?
THE laser hair removal industry should be subject to national regulations to protect people from being burned in their quest to remove unwanted body hair, consumer magazine Choice says. An investigation of six salons and clinics in Sydney found four had staff who were not trained in operating hair removal machines, while two had received training from the equipment manufacturer. ~ AAP, October 20, 2011
Laser or waxing, once you stopped, THEY WILL COME BACK as before. It's totally a waste of $$$$. It is a billion dollar business, btw. NONE is permanent.
There are temporary and permanent side effects, related to laser hair removals. About 114,000,000 results 2-12. http://www.4laserhairremoval.com/article... or waxing. About 1,150,000 results (0.56 seconds) 5-12.
PL (intense pulsed light) targets folicles, destroying hair without damaging surrounding tissue. Hair begins to grow back finer until the follicle becomes dormant.
Price varies per area, approx. $150 per upper lip session; six appointments are often required. If you're natural hair color & skin tone are similar, you may need more sessions.
The experience isn't the most pleasant, but it honestly hurts less than waxing. Dark hair began to grow back slower, finer & lighter.
It may take multiple sessions - 6 or more - to achieve the desired results. If you are prone to melasma, let your derm know. Also, expect some post procedure redness.
THREE MOST COMMON MYTHS:
1. The rate of hair regrowth will not change because of hair removal.
2. Hair coverage will not change in density; your body has a set number of hair follicles.
3. Ingrown hairs are common but not impossible to avoid; everyone has different susceptibility to ingrown hairs.

Hair Loss / Baldness
Baldness is not usually caused by a disease, but is related to aging, heredity, and testosterone. In addition to the common male and female patterns from a combination of these factors, other possible causes of hair loss, especially if in an unusual pattern, include:-
- Hormonal changes (for example, thyroid disease, childbirth, or use of the birth control pill)
- A serious illness (like a tumor of the ovary or adrenal glands) or fever
- Medication such as cancer chemotherapy
- Excessive shampooing and blow-drying
- Emotional or physical stress
- Nervous habits such as continual hair pulling or scalp rubbing
- Burns or radiation therapy
- Alopecia areata -- bald patches that develop on the scalp, beard, and, possibly, eyebrows. Eyelashes may fall out as well. This is thought to be an immune disorder.
- Tinea capitis (ringworm of the scalp)
HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT for Hair Loss / Baldness
Hair-loss is again just an indicator that there is something not well in your body. The hairs may fall due to a local infection or due to a systemic disorder or deficiency. The treatment also varies accordingly. The following homeopathic medicines are often found indicated in cases of hair fall:
Alum, Ars, Bar-c, Carbo-veg, Flour-ac, Graph, Lyco, Nat-m, Nit-ac, Phos-ac, Phos, Selen, Sep, Syph, Thallium, Vinca.
Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine, 14th ed, McGraw-Hill
Davidson's Principles and Practise of Medicine, 17th ed, 1996, Churchill Livingstone
New Manual of Homeopathic Materia Medica & Repertory, William Boericke, 2nd revised ed., 2001, B. Jain
Homeopathic Treatment requires strict individualization.

Hair Loss (Propecia) ¤¤¤Home Remedies¤¤¤
Hair loss is often due to fungus and heavy metals, could also be bacterial in origin, or may also be a manganese, vitamin C, zinc, vitamin D and/or magnesium deficiency). Take care of these issues to help hair grow back.
1. Alkalization: Slowly pour two teaspoons (to two tablespoons) of organic raw apple cider vinegar (ACV) over 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate). After it stops fizzing, add one cup of water and drink this two times a day for four to five days a week (on an empty stomach).
2. Oral Borax (sodium tetraborate) (a natural powdered laundry detergent): Mix 1/8 teaspoon (women) to 1/4 teaspoon (men) of borax (also defluoridates the water) to one liter of dechlorinated drinking water a day (e.g. taking half cup to one cup every hour or so) for four to five days a week while the ailment persists.
DO NOT CONFUSE BORAX WITH BORIC ACID!
DO NOT TAKE BORIC ACID IN PLACE OF BORAX!
3. Oral Manganese: Take 25 milligrams of manganese sulfate five days a week for two to three weeks (on an empty stomach). After a few days to two weeks, excess hair loss will stop – if the hair loss was caused by a manganese deficiency.
4. Oral Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbate): Take 1,000-2,000 milligrams of vitamin C two times a week for four to five days a week (on an empty stomach).
1. Topical Borax Shampoo: Mix one tablespoon of borax to one liter of water (takes 30 minutes to dissolve, shake well before use) four to five days a week (can be left on overnight).
2. Topical Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) Rinse: Rinse with ACV to remove calcium clogging the hair follicle root.

In General, Why Cancer Chemical Therapy Causes Hair Loss.?
Mechanically, How Does That Happen ?
And Overall How The Chemical Treatment Of Cancer Work On The Cancer Cells ?
Formation of hair involves division of cells, as do growth of cancers. Briefly chemotherapy inhibits division of cells, thereby preventing formation of new hair. We shed hair all the time, and consequently hair loss is greater than hair formation during chemotherapy. When the treatment is over hair formation becomes normal again.
What Is The Best Hair Loss Treatment Out There?
I Am 43 Year Old Male And Have Thinning Hair On Top. What Is The Best Treatment I Can Buy?
It is easier to prevent the aging and falling out of healthy hairs than to regrow hair in follicles that are already dormant. Finasteride (marketed in the U.S. as Propecia) and minoxidil (marketed in the U.S. as Rogaine, and some places as Regaine) have shown some success in partially reversing loss. In a one one-year study of finesteride, evaluation after one year showed five of 21 subjects (23.8%) had two-grade improvement in MNHS grade on a modified Norwood/Hamilton scale and 12 of 21 subjects (57.1%) had one-grade improvement; the others remained at the same grade. However such treatments are generally ineffective at treating extreme cases of hair loss.
The prospective treatment of hair multiplication/hair cloning, which extracts self-replenishing follicle stem cells, multiplies them many times over in the lab, and microinjects them into the scalp, has been shown to work in mice, and is currently under development, expected by some scientists to be available to the public in 2009-2015. Subsequent versions of the treatment are expected by some scientists to be able to cause these follicle stem cells to simply signal the surrounding hair follicles to rejuvenate.*
Topical application of ketoconazole, which is both an anti-fungal and a potent 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, is often used as a supplement to other approaches.
Interestingly, placebo treatments in studies often have reasonable success rates, though not as high as the products being tested, and even similar side-effects as the products. For example, in Finasteride (propecia) studies, the percent of patients with any drug-related sexual adverse experience was 3.8% compared with 2.0% in the placebo group.
Regular aerobic exercise can help keep androgen levels naturally lower while maintaining overall health and lowering stress, though weight training may have a detrimental effect on hair by increasing testosterone levels.
Stress reduction can be helpful in slowing hair loss.
Immunosuppresants applied to the scalp have been shown to temporarily reverse hair loss, though the possibly lethal side effects of this treatment make it untenable.
Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens) is an herbal DHT inhibitor often claimed to be cheaper and have fewer side effects than finesteride and dutasteride. Unlike other 5alpha-reductase inhibitors, Serenoa repens induces its effects without interfering with the cellular capacity to secrete PSA. Saw palmetto extract has been demonstrated to inhibit both isoforms of 5-alpha-reductase unlike finesteride which only inhibits the (predominant) type 2 isoenzyme of 5-alpha-reductase.
Polygonum Multiflorum is a traditional Chinese cure for hair loss. Whether the plant itself is useful, the general safety and quality control of herbs imported from China can be questionable.
Beta Sitosterol, which is a constituent in many seed oils, can help to treat BHP by lowering cholesterol. If used for this purpose, an extract is best. Consuming large amounts of oil to get at small quantities of beta sitosterol is likely to exacerbate male pattern baldness.
Resveratrol, from grape skins, is a lipase inhibitor. By decreasing the body's ability to absorb fat through the intestine walls, it reduces the total fat and calorie content of a person's diet.
While drastic, broad spectrum anti-androgens such as flutamide are sometimes used topically. Flutamide is potent enough to have a feminizing effect in men, including growth of the breasts.
In March 2006, Curis announced that it had received the first preclinical milestone, a $1,000,000 cash payment, in its hair growth program with Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals, a division of The Procter & Gamble Company. The program is focused on the potential development of a topical Hedgehog agonist for hair growth disorders, such as male pattern baldness and female hair loss.
How To Cure Thinning Hair?
I Am 24 And Kinda Stressed From School. For The Last Year Or So My Mom And Other Family Members Have Said My Hair Looks Thinner Than Usual. I Noticed It Myself But Dismissed It As Just Dried Out Hair And Bad Shampoo. I Use Garnier Fructis For Dry And Damaged Hair. I Shampoo Everyday When I Shower So I Think That Is Drying My Hair Out A Lot. I Never Lose Much Of Any Hair In The Shower At All, Actually I Can'T Even Remember The Last Time I Noticed A Single Hair In My Hands. Anyway The Thinning Is Mostly From My Bangs, Down On Up The Middle Of My Scalp To The Back Of My Hair, Ending At The Typical Location, The Horse Shoe Pattern As They Say. I Am Nowhere Near Balding But I Sure Don'T Want To Be. Some Things That Have Changed In The Past Year Are The Following. I Have Lost Some 30 Lbs, Simply From Being More Active And Eating A Little Less Due To University Life. I Am A Bit Stressed Out And My Nutrition Might Be A Little Off Key. Any Suggestions Would Help, Shampoo Recommendations Or Diet Changes.
I am a hairstylist and deal with thinning everyday. Its one of those things you just can't stop. Its in your jeans. It sounds like you are receding rather then thinning. If your were thinning there are special shampoos out on the market that help stimulate your follicles to help prevent hair loss. I guess the best thing to do would be to try different shampoos to help keep the hair but as for your diet and stress it should have an effect on the hair loss.
What Is Good Treatment For Regrowing Hair In Men?
What Is A Good Treatment For Men That Have Hair Falling Off For Natural Reasons? I Am Too Young To Go Bald. Thanks.
In my twenties my hair had receded at front and I had a bald spot on my crown.
The following treatment stopped all loss and totally regrew my hair and I still have it many years later.
MANY others on Answers have also had the same great results. See 3 responses from users of treatment below ## ----------------------------------------...
TREATMENT: Toxic shampoos and toxic hair products are a principal cause of loss. They sicken scalp and hair cause loss then block the hair shafts and so prevent new growth. All of scalp will have been sickened and hair ducts blocked. It's important to brush entire scalp. Vigorous and firm brushing will unblock them and will force new.growth .................................,,,,,,,...
Massage a pure natural oil into hair/scalp. Extra virgin olive or EV coconut oils are excellent. Then using a palm held brush with 1/2'' or 5/8''long boar bristles (important that it is palm held and boar bristles) brush vigorously and firmly so that you feel it stimulating scalp. It's OK if scalp is irritated to a degree but stop if you get soreness. It's best to gradually build up to 200 /250 strokes or even more every day. Brushing will pull out other sickened and badly anchored hairs. Do not be concerned as in about a week you will see new, weak looking and blondish colored hairs starting to appear. Continued brushing my uproot them but they will be quickly replaced with normal colored and stronger ones. My new hairs grew to 1 1/2'' long in about 5 weeks and continued to grow fast and more densely week by week ...........................................
Only use totally safe, toxin and harmful chemical free shampoos/other products. Visit Skin Deep Safety Database to see many hundreds that were found to be severely harmful and loss causing and others identified as being totally safe ...........................................

## HAIR LOSS! OMG!
"You may remember me, Mo Satrum, the guy with the constant questioning about the hair loss, well I've been doing it(the treatment) for 2 months now and it's working wonders! My hair loss increased the first few weeks but it gradually slowed down and my hair is gradually going back to normal as it were before. I was always told that hair loss was genetic and you could do nothing about it, but you've proved everyone wrong and even I had my doubts before starting your treatment but I cannot describe how much you've turned my life around! Thank you! I don't know where I would be without you"
