Top Tips of Hair Loss Treatment
Hair loss is a hard thing for anybody to grapple with, and women specifically. While it is typically thought to be a male problem, it is also something that affects women as well. It is a problem of several people. Hair loss is crucial to avoid, but a lot of people find that it’s difficult, this is a cure to assist.
Hair loss is a typical problem which is frequently experienced by both women and men and can be brought about by quite a few distinct things including poor diet plan and genetics. It is not cured with just a month or two into any treatment. It is not just a simple appearance problem. The loss of hair because of nutrient-deficient condition can be corrected with the correct diet including adequate heights of all important minerals and vitamins.
Hair can start to fall out for a lot of reasons. It can be extremely frustrating and difficult, if you want to quit losing hair, to purchase plenty of different products which do not do the job. Beautiful and healthful hair enhances your personality.
The main cause of hair loss is called androgenetic alopecia. It is one of the most common problems experienced by men and women all over the world. It will probably halt the loss of hair in most of men, but the quantity of regrowth will be dependent on the person.
There are several types of hair loss and balding. While the mechanism of the phenomenon of hair loss and baldness is not fully understood, there is vast knowledge on the ability to treat the types of hair loss and baldness by medication or natural means.
We are dividing the alopecia types into treatable and non-treatable conditions and we shall hereby explain how one can evaluate the chances of successful treatment in the treatable conditions.
When evaluating the chances of improving the condition of the hair, the most important criteria is the condition of the hair follicles. As long as the hair follicles are alive, there is a chance to grow new hair. Otherwise, there is no basis for any treatment to succeed and the only options are cosmetic- wig, hair transplant etc.
Life period of the hair follicles may reach up to twenty-five years. The hair follicles grow hair in cycles of growth and fall. In the process of hair loss, each cycle of growth produces shorter, thinner hair and there is less pigment (color).
When the scalp has a bright plume, it indicates that the hair follicle is still alive but dormant. Given the appropriate specialist’s knowledge and therapy, the hair follicle can be stimulated to grow hair. However if the surface is completely smooth, it indicates that the hair follicle is no longer alive and there is zero chance to grow hair- except in some cases as explained below (Alopecia Areata, Totalis and Universalis).
The different types of hair loss and the chances of growth of new hair are hereby given.
Non Treatable conditions
The conditions of hair loss which have no chance of hair regrowth are: Alopecia from birth, Scarring Alopecia, Traction Alopecia and Lupus disease.
Alopecia from birth is a rare condition, where the infant is born without hair follicles.
In Scarring Alopecia the infected zone looks like a scar and the hair follicles are dead. The reasons of the phenomena are unknown. The chances of growing new hair are zero, but with proper treatment the expansion of the Scarring Alopecia can be stopped.
In Traction Alopecia the hair is pulled out of the scalp and the hair follicle becomes weak and dies.
In alopecia which is caused by Lupus disease, the skin is rough and pink and the chances of growth of hair is almost non existent.
The conditions of hair loss which has a chance to be treated successfully are: Male Pattern Alopecia, Alopecia Areata, Alopecia Totalis and Alopecia Universalis.
Male Pattern Alopecia is common male baldness. It’s characteristics are loss of hair at the front and crown area first. In many cases, there is still at least hair plume, hair loss and baldness can be stopped by affecting the hair follicles.
In Alopecia Areata condition, typical round hair loss patches evolve rapidly. Sometimes the bald patches spread to full hair loss of the scalp (Alopecia Totalis) or even whole body areas (Alopecia Universalis). The phenomenon could harm men, women and small children. Conventional medicine assumes the Alopecia Areata condition is an autoimmune disease, though the exact mechanism of Alopecia Areata is not known nor fully understood.
In many cases Alopecia Areata is caused by psychological pressure: people who experienced trauma have sometimes lost entire hair within hours or days.
Evaluating Chances of Successful Treatment
As explained in the introduction, the condition of the hair follicles is the most important criteria for evaluating the chances of successful treatment. Existence of thin white hair is a visible sign for living hair follicles. The thin white hair can be noticed when examining the scalp from close distance, with good light conditions. Sometimes viewing the scalp from an angle against light source helps to see the thin white hair.
Naturally, when there is thin white hair on the alopecia area, it indicates that the hair follicles are weak but alive, so there is a basis to grow hair, given the proper treatment. But when the alopecia area is smooth, the evaluation depends on the alopecia type:
In male pattern alopecia condition, smooth scalp is a clear indication that the hair follicles are not alive and there is no chance to grow new hair. However in Alopecia Areata, Alopecia Totalis and Alopecia Universalis the hair follicles sometimes remain alive even if the alopecia area is smooth and evaluating the condition of the hair follicles should take into consideration other important factors.
The factors which play important role in the condition of the hair follicles and hence the chances of success:
– Age of the patient: at younger age there are higher chances to recover
– Period with Alopeia Areata condition: if the condition is recent, the chances are higher. Among people who experienced Alopecia Areata for decades, the hair follicles are probably too weak.
– Alopecia Areata condition was due to a shock: In those cases, the chances of recovery are better.
– Use of violent and inappropriate treatment: Some treatments cause permanent damage to the hair follicles. In such cases, even if there is growth of hair, it is common that once the treatment is stopped the hair falls and the hair follicles remain weaker, which makes it harder to stimulate growth.
– Thin white hair: as previously explained, if there is thin white hair the chances of recovery increase.
– Use of wig: When a wig is applied, the scalp’s skin is not normally exposed to air and is not breathing (skin is not able to absorb oxygen). In cases of wig users, the chances of recovery are lower. If wig is attached by glue, chances are near zero.
It should be emphasized that these are general guidelines for treatment success chances, based on experience with a population of Alopecia Areata patients. A personal evaluation is required in order to accurately evaluate the success chances of a specific person.
Choosing the Right Treatment
There are natural or medication therapies which are intended to revive the hair roots. When considering medication treatment, it is advised to consult with a specialist dermatologist and inquire about possible side effects. The internet includes vast information about the side effects of conventional treatments. In case of natural treatments, it is advised to seek for a treatment which is certified by a recognized organization. The treatment should be certified for being safe for usage and without any side effects. In order to be certified for zero side effects, the treatment should contain only herbs and plants with the maximal safety degree – edible herbs- as defined by the U.S. CTFA list of plants.

The Psychology of Hair Loss in Teenagers and Young Adults
In the late teens, an individual is dealing with pubertal and post pubertal physiologic changes, the challenges of seeing the world with a new eye, the loss of innocence, school, pressure form peers and social groups etc. These in themselves are psychological stressors that define and shape our humanity. The manner in which we cope with these early stressors have the potential for defining who we become for the remainder of our lives. Adding hair loss to that burden in a teenager’s life can have far reaching consequences. There is potential for it to result in depression, social withdrawal and even paranoia. An individual whose development is influenced by these additional stressors would be at a disadvantage in all realms of life.
Hair Restoration Surgery In Teenage and Young Adults – What Could Go Wrong?
A young patient considering a hair transplant in South Dartmouth Massachusetts should always remember that transplanted hairs are permanent, while the hair they currently have is temporary as the hair loss would progress with age. Because the extent and rate of hair loss progression cannot be predicted, planning a hair transplant can be tricky. If this is not taken into account a hair transplant would potentially result in an odd hair pattern which results after a transplant that initially merged into adjacent pre-existing hairlines assumes an odd look. This would occur when the previously blended pre-existing hairline progressively receded to create a bald gap between it and the transplanted hairs. To correct this, more hair transplants would be required to bridge the gap. However, this odd pattern might not be remediable if:
1. The patient runs out of donor hair. This is especially a problem in patients with severe baldness, or when the transplanted hairline was placed too aggressively
2. The patient cannot financially afford the cost of further procedures
3. Body hair cannot be used either because the doctors at the patients’ disposal lack the experience, skill or the technology required to perform successful FUE transplant using body hair (BHT) consistently. In some patients, however, BHT is not conceivable on account of an absolute lack of body and beard hair. There is a great deal of inter ethic variation in the quality and quantity of body hair in individuals.
Hair Transplant Repair Options for Victims of Hair Transplants Performed at Young Age
Unless the hair transplant on a young patient involved the creation of a very conservative hairline, the first challenge in most of these patients is the depletion of head donor hair supply often compounded by the presence of follicular unit strip surgery and / or FUE scars. In these head donor depleted patients, a successful and credible repair and restoration work would necessitate the use of beard and body hairs in BHT repair work. Donor source in BHT can include facial hair as well as hairs from the torso and limbs. A recent 122 patient study published in the Aesthetic surgery journal describes the criteria for determining the suitability of BHT donor hair. What more, the study described the kinds of features an FUE equipment used in BHT should possess. Younger patients destined for severe baldness should begin incorporating beard and body hair earlier on in their hair transplantation odyssey. With proper planning, requisite doctor experience and skill as well as the proper utensils it is indeed possible to execute a successful FUE repair in young victims of ill-conceived hair restoration surgeries South Dartmouth MA that were performed at a young age.

Some Common Q & A’s
Does Any Health Insurance Plan Cover Hair Transplants?
Does Any Health Insurance Plan Cover Hair Transplants?
No, it's cosmetic unless your doctor says it for medical purposes to save your life. Policies that would cover it, cost more then the actual hair transplant costs.
Male Pattern Baldness?
My Boyfriend Suffers From Male Pattern Baldness And Is Losing Hair Even Now When He Is 20. Is There Anything He Can Do? Thanks In Advance!
There are severeal forms of baldenss. If it is male pattern baldness (Androgenetic alopecia) then the hairloss cannot be fully cured in most cases, but just frozen for some time with the treatments availiable on market today.
1) Hair transplant (FUE technology) creates really natural hairline, no scars, the best way to go if you have enough donor hair and money of course.
2. Propecia (Finasteride) and Minoxidil are the only ones approved by FDA and proven to work in most men so far.
Generic Propecia (finasteride) is also ok. I use it with same results, and unfortunately same sides(a bit dry feeling in the scalp) as brand propecia. Have tried lots of herbal crap before it and laser combs, so far the only thing that prevents my hairloss, not much regrowth, but has stopped my hairloss completely.
I buy from this pharmacy for the last 2 years - http://www.1rx.biz/generic_propecia.html . It is under $1 per pill as I buy the 90 pills. (89$ for 90)

Dove hairfall facts:
1. Humidity makes hair dry and brittle, leading to hairfall
2. Colouring the hair damages the hair strands leading to breakage
3. Pollution is also an unseen killer of healthy hair
4. Tangled hair is the most common reason for hair fall
5. While shampooing cleanses your hair, regular conditioning is required for adequate moisturization. Regular use of conditioner post shampoo also solves the problem of entangling which is the major cause of hairfall.
HEAT & CHEMICALS are hair's worst enemies. You've got any of those on your hair?
Supplements, medications, anti-acne products, hair oil, birth control pills, pollution in the water ALL HAVE SIDE EFFECTS.
"You find people oiling hair every single day, the hair sweats and it doesn’t get washed. What do you think happens? It goes limp and becomes thin because it is not breathing,” Shamillah Mohammed, a hairstylist at SUQA, says.
Man-made products & supplements can do more harm than good.
Beginning in February 2008, they experienced one symptom after another: diarrhea, joint pain, HAIR LOSS, lung problems, and fingernails and toenails that fell off. FDA has received numerous reports of harm associated with the use of these products, including stroke, liver injury, kidney failure, heart palpitations, and death. 3-15-11. Pills like medications ALL have side effects. Beware. Example: "I used minoxidil drug to restore the hair on my head; however, I ended up with unwanted body hair. I don't know if it is temporary or I have to seek medical treatment." YA poster 9-27-12.
When hair starts to fall out MORE, there are no hair products or treatment, that are made of glue to fix, prevent, reverse hair from getting damaged or hair falls. It is a billion dollar business, and they do not give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair falls.
Eliminate the 'causes' and your hair will improve.
What should you do if you think that you may have hair loss? First, call your dermatologist today! If you don't have one, visit the "Find a Doctor" portion of the website of the American Academy of Dermatology. Secondly, when you visit your dermatologist, have a list of your medications, allergies, medical conditions and your hair care practices (for example: relaxers for 20 years, hot combs for 10 years, no weaves, braids with extensions for two years and natural styles for the last 5 years). Do not be afraid if your doctor suggests blood test, a scalp biopsy or culture. These procedures are recommended so that the doctor can determine the type of hair loss that you have and treatment can be started. ~Susan C. Taylor, MD

Lost Of Hair?
My Son Is 4 Months Old And He Is Losing His Hair Around The Sides And He Has A Big Bald Spot At The Back Of His Head.
I Wash His Hair Everyday With Aveeno Shampoo And I Use Either Johnson Baby Oil Or Natural Olive Oil. Is There Something I Can Do To Regain His Hair. His Nationality Is African American.
"Newborn hair loss is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Babies often lose their hair during the first six months. This kind of hair loss is called telogen effluvium.
A newborn's hormone levels drop right after birth, which can cause him to lose the hair he was born with. (New moms often lose large amounts of hair for the same reason.)
If you notice that your baby has bald patches, observe the way he sits and sleeps. If he always sleeps in the same position or tends to sit with the back of his head against a baby seat, he may lose hair in that area. He may also develop a bald spot if he rubs his head against his mattress.
If your baby has smooth, round, totally bald areas, he may have alopecia areata, a condition in which the immune system attacks the hair follicles, drastically slowing hair growth. This type of hair loss usually appears in isolated patches, although it can affect all of the hair on the body. "
My 3 children all had some mild hairloss, but never any bald spots. That might be because of the type of hair he has (because he's african american), or he 'could' have alopecia. If it gets really bad I would take him to the pediatrician.
Hope that helps!

Concerning Hair Loss. What Were The Results And How Long Did It Take For You To Grow Back
How old are you?
What have you been taking or styling your hair?
Find the 'cause' before you can find the solution, then eliminate them. Your hair will improve. Remember, whatever it was that caused them to fall out in the first place, it took years to get in your system, it will takes years to flush them down, so don't expect miracles overnight.
So many reasons why you have hair loss:
Supplements, steroids, hereditary, hair dyes perming, straightening, diet, having babies (yes I read once it happened to her), stress, medications with testosterone, certain antidepressants, menopause, anti-acne, and too much of everything.
I've responded to many girls (guys now too) under 15 experiencing in hair loss since 2009, due to hair straightening, relaxers and hair dyes. Women 60-90 have those same symptoms but it took them years to get there. But for 15 & under, giving advice here? They can't predict the future of their hairs, until they're in their 30's, but 15 & under with hair loss? C'mon! I've responded 7 in 2 hours 9-3-10 alone.

MOST SERIOUS CAUSE OF LOSS IS SHAMPOOS. Many have countless hair, scalp and even health harming harsh and toxic ingredients. See this site "Skin Deep Database -:A Feelgood Resource" and "Not Just a Pretty Face." Look in shampoos and you will see which are the most harmful.and others which are safe or only minimally harming.

Subject: HAIR LOSS! OMG!
"You may remember me, Mo Satrum, the guy with the constant questioning about the hair loss, well I've been doing it for 2 months now and it's working wonders! My hair loss increased the first few weeks but it gradually slowed down and my hair is gradually going back to normal as it were before. I was always told that hair loss was genetic and you could do nothing about it, but you've proved everyone wrong and even I had my doubts before starting your treatment but I cannot describe how much you've turned my life around! Thank you I don't know where I would be without you"
In my teens I suffered severe loss. Then this NATURAL, safe treatment stopped loss almost straight away and forced new growth. It has helped others on ANSWERS.
TREATMENT: Massage olive or any pure, natural oil into scalp, Extra virgin olive, coconut and grape seed work well. Then brush vigorously preferably using a palm held brush with short natural boar bristles.(Quite stiff bristles is best) You can see them on Amazon - they are known as military brushes.
Brush strongly so you feel it stimulating/irritating scalp. Do 90 /100 strokes each day at beginning building up to more and focus on where loss is. You may be apprehensive about irritating scalp - believe me I was too. But this is what will force new growth as it unplugs the blocked hair ducts that sometimes cause loss - they are the painful small itching spots.
As you brush some shedding and breakage may occur at first but will quickly stop as brushing makes hair better anchored and stronger. New hairs will appear.and will be weak looking and sparse. Keep up the brushing and do not be concerned if brushing uproots them, as they will re-appear even stronger.
My hair has completely regrown on crown. Where receded at front regrowth was slower and sparse at first then each month it became denser. It demands perseverance week in/week out to get the same results.
I only wash hair with a totally safe, totally pure soap bar with no toxins - no coloring, no fragrances, no preservatives, no harmful additives of any kind.
You can find similar ones in GNC, Trader Joes, some Walmart Stores, Cost Plus, Wegmans, Earth Fare, and some natural & health foods stores.
I believe I escaped the fate of my grandfather, my father, my two younger brothers and an 18 year old nephew through this treatment. All are, or were, completely, or very nearly bald. So I feel this treatment has disproved the genetics theory.

Do Modern Day Solutions To Male Pattern Baldness Really Work?
What Causes Male Pattern Baldness? If Modern Day Solutions Really Work, Why Do So Many Men Go Untreated? Are There Negative Side Effects? Does It Depend On The Type Of Hair You Have? Which Treatments Are Scams? Thanks.
The only treatment approved by the FDA is finasteride and minoxidil.
Finasteride is a synthetic antiandrogen that inhibits type II 5-alpha reductase, the enzyme that converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). This medication can only stop hair loss, if the hair has gone, it won`t bring it back. Side effects of finasteride include impotence (1.1% to 18.5%), abnormal ejaculation (7.2%), decreased ejaculatory volume (0.9% to 2.8%), abnormal sexual function (2.5%), gynecomastia (2.2%), erectile dysfunction (1.3%), ejaculation disorder (1.2%) and testicular pain.
Minoxidil is an antihypertensive vasodilator medication also known for its ability to slow or stop hair loss and promote hair regrowth. Common side effects of minoxidil include burning or irritation of the eye; itching; redness or irritation at the treated area; unwanted hair growth elsewhere on the body, severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); chest pain; dizziness; fainting; fast heartbeat; sudden, unexplained weight gain; swollen hands or feet. ronically, hair loss is a common side effect of minoxidil treatment. Manufacturers note that minoxidil-induced hair loss is a common side effect and describe the process as 'shedding'. Although this phenomenon demonstrates that minoxidil is indeed affecting hair follicles, manufacturers offer no guarantee that the new hair loss will be replaced with hair growth.
The speculated reason for this "shedding" is the encouragement of hairs already in the telogen phase to shed early, before often beginning a fresh, healthier anagen phase.
But, there are people speculating that in the future there will be better treatments that are being developed by these companies: Follica, Histogen, Aderans and Trychoscience. Check this:
