What You Should Do to Find Out About Hair Loss Treatment Before You’re Left Behind
Hair loss is a hard thing for anybody to grapple with, and women specifically. While it is typically thought to be a male problem, it is also something that affects women as well. It is a problem of several people. Hair loss is crucial to avoid, but a lot of people find that it’s difficult, this is a cure to assist.
Hair loss is a typical problem which is frequently experienced by both women and men and can be brought about by quite a few distinct things including poor diet plan and genetics. It is not cured with just a month or two into any treatment. It is not just a simple appearance problem. The loss of hair because of nutrient-deficient condition can be corrected with the correct diet including adequate heights of all important minerals and vitamins.
Hair can start to fall out for a lot of reasons. It can be extremely frustrating and difficult, if you want to quit losing hair, to purchase plenty of different products which do not do the job. Beautiful and healthful hair enhances your personality.
The main cause of hair loss is called androgenetic alopecia. It is one of the most common problems experienced by men and women all over the world. It will probably halt the loss of hair in most of men, but the quantity of regrowth will be dependent on the person.
Humans have tried every imaginable thing to stop hair loss and regrow lost hair. They rubbed the juices of all vegetables and fruits, and extracts of every available herb. Yet, they were unable to find any effective hair growth treatment. Undoubtedly there are numerous natural and herbal treatments for hair growth, but almost all lack systematic studies. If we ever hope to grow hair by natural means, we need to study natural remedies thoroughly. And even those with proven effects need a lot of time and patience to be effective. Another thing that makes natural remedies the least preferred choice in this age of technology is their temporary results. Hairs grown through natural sources do not long last, and start shedding off as soon as the use is discontinued.
For now, we have three types of hair growth treatments that help regrow hair in a natural manner restore a thicker and fuller head of hair. These include medical treatment, laser therapy, and surgical hair restoration.
Medical Hair Growth Treatment
There are a few options available to treat this through medications. Actually, these treatments produce better results if you take them in combination with one another. Let us have a look at these FDA-approved effective hair loss medicines.
• Finasteride: Finasteride is the generic name of the probably most effective hair loss drug. This drug treats hair loss by inhibiting production of hair killing hormone DHT. DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is the most important hormone that signals the hair follicles to die – the most common cause of Androgenic Alopecia or male pattern baldness. To date, inhibiting this hormone is the most effective way to stop hair loss. Besides controlling hair loss, this medication thickens fine hair, and this produces considerable effect.
• Minoxidil: It is the second most effective treatment. It is supplied in the form of a topical solution. Minoxidil is also a generic name; famous brand names of this medication include Rogaine and Hair Max. You need to apply this solution on the scalp twice a day, or as prescribed by the doctor and massage for a few minutes.
• Ketoconazole: This medication is supplied as a shampoo-like solution. This encourages hair growth by keeping the scalp clean from fungus and dandruff. You need to use this as a shampoo twice a week, and leave the leather for 3-5 minutes on your head.
No doubt researchers have studied these medications and found them effective, they are not perfect yet. First, their effectiveness varies from person to person. One may find it very effective while another may find it minimally effective. Second, the effects of all medications are temporary. You will maintain your hair as long as you continue the use of these medications. Whenever you decide to discontinue the treatment, you will lose your hair maintained by these medications. Third, like all other medication, hair loss medication is not without side effects. You must discuss its side effects before starting the treatment.
Low-Level Laser Therapy
Low-level laser is showing some measurable results to stimulate hair growth. Currently, it is regarded as convenient alternative of medication with fewer side effects. However, its effectiveness is an issue of debate. Until now, it is unable to show dramatic improvement in hair density.
Surgical Hair Growth Treatment-Hair Transplant
Hair transplant is to date the most effective treatment to date. It can restore hair on balding places in an effective and predictable manner. Hair transplant extracts healthy, balding resistant hair follicles form one area of the head and plants them to the balding areas. Not all hairs on our head are prone to balding. While the hair at the front and crown of the head are prone to hair loss, hair at the sides and back of the head are resistant to it. This procedure makes excellent use of these hair reserves on our head.
• Follicular Unit Transplant: Also known as the strip removal method, FUT excises a strip of scalp, usually from the back of the head, and dissects is to obtain required hair follicles. The wound is stitched together and the grafts obtained from the strip and implanted on the thinning or bald areas.
• Follicular Unit Extraction: FUE is a relatively newer and more advanced technique replacing the traditional strip removal method. This technique involves extracting the hair follicles directly from the scalp, without cutting and stitching the scalp. The follicles are extracted using a specially designed punch tool with diameter less than 0.1 mm. What makes FUE a more preferred choice of surgeons and patients is its ability to extract hair follicles form body areas like chest, armpits, and legs as well.
• Stem Cell FUE: Stem Cell FUE is the latest advancement in FUE hair transplant. It is the quickest, safest and the most effective hair transplant technique to date. It uses an automated punch tool for extraction of hair follicles at the fastest possible speed. It also allows hair regrowth at the donor area, thus ensuring the most natural looking results.
A hair transplant has only one limitation: the availability of donor hair. At present, there is no way to create new hair follicles; therefore, the patient must have healthy, balding resistant hair follicles somewhere on the scalp or the body. Fortunately, most of us have enough donor hair on the scalp or on the body to create a dramatic improvement in hair density.

In a recent survey, it was found that men fear losing their hair, either by it thinning, receding or by going bald completely, will make them unattractive in the eyes of others. It seems that lots of men worry about what others think about their hair loss. The survey revealed that Roopville Georgia men who have bald fathers tend to keep their own hair short, so that if the hair begins to fall out it wouldn’t be such a shock to lose it all.
There are three general patterns of male pattern hair loss, and men can experience one of these patterns of hair loss or a mixture of all three:
- A receding hairline is one of the most common hair loss patterns, where the hair is lost at the temples, either side of the forehead, usually leaving a mound in the middle. This may sometimes be the only area of hair loss, but others may experience thinning at the crown as well.
- Some men will experience their hair thinning at the crown, which is at the back or top of the head. This can occur by itself or coincide with a receding hairline. Usually hair loss starts with thinning at the crown until the scalp becomes visible, and in time a bald patch may appear. This bald patch may grow wider until it meets the receding hairline, or it may stay at the top or back of the head and spread outwards in all directions to produce a circular baldness.
- General thinning spreads evenly over the top of the scalp, and men will not get a distinct receding hairline or a thinning crown. With general thinning, the onset of hair loss is less obvious and takes longer to notice.
One method of restoring hair to a follically challenged head is the FUE hair transplant technique. FUE involves taking healthy hair follicles from the scalp one by one and grafting them into the bald areas of the head. The Roopville GA surgeon transplants hair follicles into the same slot that contained previous hair, giving it a better chance of settling in permanently. This method of transplanting is very intricate and it requires special attention and care. This means the treatment is completed over a number of sessions and not performed in one long exhausting procedure. The grafts usually take in a few days and the redness caused by the treatment settles in under a week.
FUE hair transplants are very popular as:
- They deliver more natural-looking results.
- The treatment is less painful than other methods.
- Downtime is minimal.
In most cases, once you receive the aesthetics, you’ll only feel minimal discomfort during the procedure. With the FUE hair transplant technique, visible scarring on the scalp is negligible. FUE transplant procedures are less painful compared to earlier transplant treatments and they tend to produce more natural looking results.

Some Common Q & A’s
Hair Replacement..I Want Straight Hair..Is This Possible??
Im Not Balding But I Have Natrally Curly/Frizzy Hair And Im Always Straightening It Every Two Weeks..I Was Wondering If There Was Some Sort Of Hair Replacement Surgery I Could Get To Change The Texture Of My Hair..I'D Love To Go Swimming Without Having To Control The Poof Just Once In My Life..I Heard Janet Jackson Had It Done..
Please Dont Give Me The &Quot;Accept Yourself Speech&Quot; I Will Not Listen, You Will Be Wasting Your Time..You Have No Idea What My Hair Is Really Like..If U Dont Have The Answer...Dont Answer
The Japanese straightener is called Liscio, and it is great, I see it done all the time at work. It will permanently straighten you hair (until new hair grows out). It costs about $300 to $500 in my area and you really need to research before you have it done, a poor one can ruin your hair (until it grows out). You can't do it if you have had beach highlights done recently and there is some maintenance, conditioning and care. Liscio straightens without weakening or thinning the hair shaft, and it can take 5 hours to do(depending on your hair, hence the cost). It will make the hair flat, some people who have thin hair, well, their hair looks really thin to me when it's straight, but they seem very happy. Straightening won't change the weight of your hairs, it will just make them straight.
Shop carefully, ask people if they have had their hair straightened and by whom, and how the results were, it's a lot of money and you want it done correctly. Check out the stylist and the shop, ask if you can come by and see it done, pretend to be unsure and watch how precise the stylist is, come back to see it finished, if they are good they will cooperate with you (some customers may not want to be observed, but the salon should be open about showing off, the good ones are proud of their work), if they act mean about it, there is something wrong. Also consider that you are going to be there for hours, if the stylist is not nice, it's going to be a long day....
I'd advised to not try home straighteners, I've seen the stylists trying to repair the damage of people who have done that, and better to save for a good service than to waste it on a cheap one that doesn't get good results...Good luck with your quest.
Really, I don't see anything wrong with poofy hair...I have some Polynesian friends who have some really wild hair...they are always paying to have it straightened. I think it looks cool wild, I wish mine had more personality.

as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.
year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.
the things that really worked for me was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed or/and Provilluss (do not use Rogaine - it will not work!)
Those are a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for me!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here
It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

Solution To Male Pattern Hair Loss/ Baldness?
M 21 Year Guy, My Maternal Side Grandfather Dint Suffered Any Hairloss But My Father And Paternal Grandfather Are Bald. My Hairline At Temples And Forehead Is Receding And My Hair Density At Top Of My Head Is Decreasing. Please Suggest Me Somethin That Could Stop This Permamnently And Also Get Back My Lost Hair.
**This is a NATURAL, safe, treatment and truly stops loss almost straight away and has helped others on ANSWERS. It also forces new growth. Massage thoroughly with olive or any natural oil - then brush vigorously using a palm held brush with short natural boar bristles - soft bristled for fine straight hair and stiff bristled for thicker non straight hair (you can see them on Amazon) so you really feel it stimulating scalp. Do 90 /100 strokes each day at beginning building up to more and focus on where loss is.(you maybe apprehensive about brushing - believe me I was too. But it truly will force new growth). Will heal scalp and unplug blocked hair ducts that sometimes cause loss - they are the painful small itching spots. A little shedding and breakage may occur at first but quickly stops as brushing makes hair stronger and better anchored. It will grow fast, thicker and It will force the new growth. Initially new hairs will be weak looking and sparse. Again do not be concerned if brushing uproots them as they will re-appear even stronger. My hair has completely regrown on crown. Where receded at front regrowth was slower and sparse at first then each month it became denser. It demands perseverance week in, week out to get the same results.
Thinning and loss can be caused by many shampoos - particularly harmful are anti dandruff ones. Tthey have countless hair, scalp and even health harming harsh and toxic ingredients. Washing hair too frequently is another cause - removes beneficial natural oils and contributes to loss. Find "Non harmful shampoos, etc" with Google searches. Some will be expensive or only available on-line so refine search by adding "low cost" and "available in stores" Find in GNC ,Trader Joes, Some Walmart Stores, Cost Plus, Wegmans, Earth Fare, natural & health foods stores.
I have had feed back from someone who has had even more success using treatment. His has substantially regrown in just 6 months.
I believe I escaped the fate of my grandfather, father, my two younger brothers and an 18 year old nephew through this treatment alone. All are/were completely, or very nearly so, bald. Wish you the best.**

Is Bosley Hair Restoration Worth It?
I would say yes. No matter what level of hair loss you have, whether its just starting to thin or you have an obvious bald spot, Bosley's hair restoration techniques are proven to work. In fact, their follicular unit extraction surgery is one of the only permanent ways to treat hair loss. The website I found said that Bosley has been performing this surgery for many years, so you know you're going to get someone who knows what they're doing. If you think you have severe hair loss, I think Bosley is a good resource. It's a good idea to learn more about the procedure and figure out the overall cost. Bosley has free consultations at their clinics, so maybe you can schedule one and find out from the experts whether or not it's worth it. Hope this helps.

Originally used as a treatment for prostate cancer, finasteride is the chemical name for Proscar (5% finasteride) developed by Merck. Merck discovered one of the side effects Proscar was the stop of hair loss, and hence consequently created Propecia (1% finasteride) as a non-surgical solution for hair loss. Merck’s Propecia’s patent will expire in November 2013, and Proscar’s patent expired on June 19th 2006. Currently in the market, finasteride is available under the following brand names: Proscar, Propecia, Fincar, Finpecia, Finax, Finast, Finara, Finalo, Prosteride, Gefina, Finasterid IVAX, Finasterid Alternova
How Finasteride stops hair loss.
It inhibits the production of an enzyme (type II 5-alpha reductase) that plays an important role in the development of DHT. The reduction in DHT stops the miniturisation of hair follicles and consequently stop hair loss.
Proscar, Propecia, Fincar, Finpecia, Finax, Finast, Finara, Finalo, Prosteride, Gefina, Finasterid IVAX, Finasterid Alternova In a 5-year study of men with mild to moderate hair loss, 48% of those treated with Propecia (finasteride 1mg) experienced some regrowth of hair, and a further 42% had no further loss. Average hair count in the treatment group remained above baseline, and showed an increasing difference from hair count in the placebo group, for all five years of the study. In clinical studies, Propecia, like minoxidil, was shown to work on both the crown area and the hairline, but is most successful in the crown area.
Finasteride is effective only for as long as it is taken; the hair gained or maintained is lost within 6-12 months of ceasing therapy. The clinical trials were based on men aged from 18-41 years old, who had mild or moderate hair loss at the crown and frontal areas. Hair growth was seen within in a period of 3 to 12 months. No studies have been carried out to test the effectiveness of Finasteride on individuals who are over 41 and who experienced severe hair loss.
Side - Effects
Around 1% of finasteride users experience side-effects: erectile dysfunction and gynecomsastia. Side-effects cease after the user stops medication, however this means that hair loss returns.
Finasteride reduces DHT production, this causes a rise in testosterone levels, because testosterone that would normally be converted into DHT remains testosterone. Continual high levels of testosterone in the body could possibly have negative side effects.

At the same time, artificially low levels of DHT is also harmful to the body. Men also produce a small amount of the female hormone estrogen. DHT works as an antagonist of estrogen, by reducing DHT with drugs, a man’s protection from the effects of estrogen may also be reduced. This could result in gynecomastia.

Dove hairfall facts:
1. Humidity makes hair dry and brittle, leading to hairfall
2. Colouring the hair damages the hair strands leading to breakage
3. Pollution is also an unseen killer of healthy hair
4. Tangled hair is the most common reason for hair fall
5. While shampooing cleanses your hair, regular conditioning is required for adequate moisturization. Regular use of conditioner post shampoo also solves the problem of entangling which is the major cause of hairfall.

Any reactions to a drug - like Vitamin B complex which is a supplement - 'side effect' is a negative reaction to a drug - this is your body telling you that what you just gave it is toxic to it, and instead of helping you, it is actually hurting you. It is your body's way of telling you to stop. All drugs have side effects, and are toxic...even lethal...to some people at some dosage. Another term for toxic is poisonous. We owe it to ourselves to try less toxic treatments first. Especially since too many drugs merely cover up symptoms rather than treat the underlying cause of the symptom in the first place. Hair Transplant Cost In Delhi And Is It Safe?
London: Men should avoid having hair transplants until they are closer to the age of 30, a leading surgeon has warned.
Doctor Bessam Farjo told Newsbeat some clinics are not doing enough to warn under-30s about the long-term risks.
He said that while the publicity in celebrities like Wayne Rooney getting the procedure is making it more popular, it is not for everyone.
“When a celebrity comes out with it, you only hear the good things,” the BBC quoted him as saying.
“You don`t hear the cautions or the potential complications.”
He says that if you get surgery too young, it can look worse than it did in the first place.“If you have the surgery too early and you go bald, you don`t have enough hair to keep chasing the hair loss,” he said.
“You can end up with isolated patches of hair. You could end up with hairy temples and a bald forehead which isn`t pretty but is also hard to fix.”

If your hair loss is genetics: Prince William, Prince Philip, Prince Charles for example . . .Dr. Asim Shahmalak, from Crown Clinic in the U.K., says the only way the prince can restore a reasonable amount of hair density to his head is through a procedure in which 3,000 to 4,000 hair grafts are taken from the back of the scalp and moved to the top of the head. This procedure isn’t available through the British National Health Service, and costs around $1,600 a year.
But most blokes don’t realise there are many different types of transplant to choose from – some using your own hair while others using donor hair – and various procedures can set you back anything from £4,000 to £30,000.
Does Human Hair Effect Plant Growth?
I Am Doing A Science Fair Project And I Am Doing It On This Topic. I Am Working On My Hypothosis And I Nedd Help. I Think It Will But I Cant Think Why! Help Me!
If you can't even get your hypothesis off the ground, I suggest you turn back and think up a different project. Thinking ahead, how will you test your hypothesis? There are so many factors! (the type of plant, the color of hair, the health of the person's hair, how much hair, what soil, the plant's genetics . . . you get the picture)
But if you're still adamant about this project, you could hypothesize that human hair will positively affect plant growth because it contains nutrients.
